TamiGuitar 21 Posted Monday at 08:01 PM That Eagle Classic is beautiful! I love arch tops! I have an L5, this looks similar, but I’m sure very unique! I bet this is great for Jazz, Swing, etc… 1
Jimbob 33 Posted Wednesday at 10:21 AM Thank you, Tami! I purchased the Eagle Classic new in 1996, so it's been around for a while. It is indeed the perfect guitar for jazz, swing, and perhaps a little bit of blues. Sadly, I don't play it as often as I should, but I pull it out every once in a while. Your L5 is no slouch, either......quite the contrary! If you have a photo of it, I'd like to see it! I've always wanted an L5, but when I was looking for a jazz box, I found the Eagle Classic to be much more affordable. I also noticed that you're new to the forum having purchased a new H-535! Congratulations on buying a beautiful guitar! I bought my H-535 used in '93 or '94, but since it's a '92 model, it was essentially like new when I bought it. That guitar has also seen a lot of miles, and it's been refretted as well. Even though I joined this forum in something like 2009, I sort of feel like I'm new here as well, for until last month I hadn't been here since 2011. I just purchased my two H-150s within the last few weeks, so that's been the primary reason why I've returned to the forum. I mostly play blues, funk and a bit of fusion, so the LP-style and H-535 guitars work pretty well for me. Anyway, enjoy your new H-535, and welcome to the HOC! Jim
