slider313 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Taking a que from Gitfiddlers "If you could only own one Heritage" I'd like to see how long everyone has owned their Heritage. My H140 and I go back to '88 when it was delivered as a custom order in late (Nov?) of '87. It's been my main guitar ever since. So, has anyone here owned a Heritage as long, almost as long or not quite as long? ;D

tulk1 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Hmmmm, knew about them long before I got one. Thinking April of '07, earliest it could be. That would be the H157 that is now Mr. Debris'
fxdx99 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I'm a newbie - an 02 535 new from Wolfe that year.
GuitArtMan Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I bought my first 535 in '98 if memory servers me right.
High Flying Bird Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I got a 445 in 90 and sold it in 09. My 535 was a 96 but I traded it to Miknov for his 150. None of my current Heritages, gold 535, 150 or the 475 have been with me very long.
shook494 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Got my first 02' 150 used in 2004. I'm pretty new to Heritage. I knew about them before, but never never thought they would be this good.
golferwave Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 My first one is an H-150 that I bought new from Elderly in 96. I had been seeing their ads in magazines and a friend of mine had one. I played his and was hooked.
Thundersteel Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I bought my first one (an H150) a few years ago from eBay.
big bob Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 got the 575 in 1998, millie in 2000, and my 1988 stat dlx in 2008
Kuz Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Early '06. Then I started the Heritage guitar trust fund (ie the flood gates opened)!
squawken Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Got my 150 in September 07, around the same time I became a member of HOC
brentrocks Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 i bought a green H 157 back in 2000, wish i still had it
111518 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I'm not sure how long it's been since I got my 550 Custom used at Ithaca Guitar Works. Part of my plan when I sold my Super 400 was to find a smaller archtop that I might actually play. Heritage was at the top of my list. I found the 550 on the web, and made the 5 hour drive down to Ithaca to check it out. It was the first Heritage I'd actually played after having been curious about them since they first entered production. I remember when I traveled I'd check out the yellow pages to see if any of the local shops were Heritage dealers. Unfortunately, I wasn't traveling much, or playing much, from the mid80s to mid90s, so my days of searching down and hanging out in guitar shops pretty much dried up before there were many Heritage guitars in circulation. I'm guessing I bought the 550 in approx. 2000? May have been a year or two earlier. I don't write these things down; guess I should.
Gitfiddler Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I fell hard for a slightly used Sweet 16 on Ebay back in '97.
JohnCovach Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 My first was my natural 575 Custom in the late 1990s, though I'd known about Heritage ever since they were founded.
thumbs Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I purchased my Golden Eagle in 03 from J. Wolfe, while looking for a "G*****". Now I'm on the lookout for a H150 ;D
GroovieGuitarGuus Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Blought my 535 new in 1988 in Amsterdam...
pressure Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I bought my first Heritage, a Johnny Smith, in the fall of 1990. I had wanted one ever since they came out in 1961, at g. The clincher was my wife said yes!
jacques Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I got my first Heritage way back in 1973 - guess this makes me the one who had it first!
badaxe24 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Hi folks, my Golden Eagle blond since 1993. Ordered unseen 1992 from Germany...
es125luv Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I bought my first Heritage new in 1997. It is a black H157CM and she is still going strong and aging quite nicely. The guitar is what gave me the "itch" to grow my collection!
