jhack Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 It arrived this week from Jay. It is absolutely magnificent exactly as I saw it in my dreams, the finish is impeccable. The sound is as I waited for it and it will be even better when I would have changed my amp. The regulations from Wolfe guitars are precise. fingerboard is very very pleasant, fingers slide alone. Very happy to be finally a part of owners of one heritage. Still one thank you has all those who helped me in my choices. My only regret is that in spite of some e-mail, I was not able to obtain the pickguard which I wanted but it is not very important. I put you some pics.
yoslate Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Congratulations, jhack! A beautiful, beautiful guitar! It's a wonderful moment to open that case, not only the first time, but every time. Welcome to the family!
blueox Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 . . . I was not able to obtain the pickguard which I wanted . . . I assume you wanted the Heritage style pickguard? Otherwise, you have a great looking H-555 there. The semi-hollow guitar is capable of doing just about anything musically and even makes a so-so amp sound decent. For me, it is the ultimate guitar, if one had to choose just one.
barrymclark Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Nice! If Heritage has nothing else down, they have the most amazing finishes. Something about them just does it for me. Before getting into Heritage, there a lot of colors on instruments I was just not a fan of. Heritage changed that. Believe it or not, wasn't a fan of burst and most transparent finishes. Just love them when they are from Heritage. I have yet to see a finish that made me say "ewwww". Even the oddball ones that have colors together, that if you just described it to me, I would twist my face up. Then you see them... and it works.
nachogrande Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Congrats! Killer color. Play it in good health!
tulk1 Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Jhack, Nice guitar. Even without the scratchplate.

Steiner Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 jhack - that is one magnificent guitar! What is the burst color? I want one, scratch that, TWO just like it! If it sounds anywhere near how it looks - and I'm sure it does - you've one stellar tool to express your musical fundamentals. Congats!
JeffB Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Nice looking guitar. Real nice finish. What pick guard did you want?

jhack Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 Hi, Thank you for all your comments. Concerning the finish, it is about a color DALSB, dark almond sunburst. As for the pickguard, I had asked on the advice of a person of the forum, a pickguard of the same color as the guitar and concerning the shape I wished this shape there. Good day in all.

Jhack, I think a scratchplate of the same color and in that shape would be just what your new guitar deserves. If you ordered your guitar with a matching scratchplate, then you need to insist the dealer deliver you what your ordered. What you have on the guitar looks nice. But honestly, black isn't what that guitar needs. It needs a DALSB scratchplate. BTW, thanks for the nice pictures. That is the color I have chosen for my custom Prospect. I did ask for it darker than normal, but I could take the color like yours.
conorb Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 That's a real stunner! Congratulations!!!! conorb
