buelahbones Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Hey Brent !!! We all know just how excited you get about your guitars and your passion for Heritage in general. So I decided to let you get an inside view of all the love and pride we employees take in building our guitars. Keep in mind I did miss the first few days of it's production but, I think you will get the jist of it. Of course, also keep in mind that part of the reason most buy Heritage is because they are hand crafted. (This is a nice way to put that there will be flaws and imperfections.) This in no way means that we don't still strive for perfection! We are following your specs to a T and hope that it gets your approval. But, as I said they are hand crafted which means people are attached to the hands. This is where our problems start. Chris thought the ticket said you wanted a slim neck, he was only going to take a little off the sides.........
buelahbones Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 Soon after, Curly had an episode. (It happens alot.) Seeing the ticket with your name on it he thought of hockey. Next thing we all knew he was a K-Wing team member and was trying to slap it around with a bass neck. Good thing we make our axes tough, it took the check with minimal brusing.........
buelahbones Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 Then some street thug in camo came in and tried to smuggle it out. This is why we only have tours on Wednesdays...........
big bob Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Good one, only two pups? whats with that billy jean?
buelahbones Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 Rest assure though, a passer-by stopped the street thug and we threw him in the Heritage Clink. RUT ROE RAGGEY!!!! Those meddling kids foiled the street thug and revieled his true identity...........
buelahbones Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 With all jokes aside your guitar looks great and was not harmed in the making of this. I personally delivered it to Patrick and he was eager to get painting on it............... I hope you like seafoam green.......
golferwave Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 That's great Katie. Brents new axe is a killer. Bound neck with traps looks cool on the double cut H 137.
fxdx99 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 TOO Funny, Katie!!!! Thanks for that - LMAO! But ya know, who could blame Bill for trying to sneak out w/it?
Gitfiddler Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 This is one of the funniest photo-threads in HOC history!! Seafoam Green!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I REALLY can't wait to have my super expensive, custom one-off made by that band of merry gitfiddle-makers! Too funny!!
pegleg32 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Love you guys at Heritage!! What a great sense of humor!! That would have been a nice guitar Brent!!!
brentrocks Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 OMG Katie....that is friggin hillarious!!! Well there it is guys.... Thanks Katie for the comedy...it is always welcome here!
212Mavguy Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I'm thankful for the hand sanding marks on the pickup side end of the ebony fretboard on my 555, it's the real deal, not some soul-less dime-a-dozen person CNC computer hacker made instrument. Miss D Buttercups loves the stage. I love this thread, especially after the rather flame-y quality issue thread, LMAO big time! What a great comeback! You stole my heart with your humor, msbeulahbones. God bless ya HUGE!
brentrocks Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 this was my happy place the other day.....
Kuz Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Katie, you know how much I love ALL you guys. I just spoke with Ren around 2:30 today. He didn't say anything about the special sea-foam-green paint coming in early!!!! Great to see you guys having fun while making the best guitars in the WORLD!!! PS Don't forget the yellow "You Da Man Ren" air brushed on the top!
FredZepp Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 What a fantastic post !!!! It made me laugh out loud... And what a warm hearted sense of humor... Any of us that have done the 225 Parsons St Tour ( and some who haven't ) appreciate the people .... and the handmade aspect of The Heritage guitar Thank you for posting for us all, Katie. Really Fun. And, yes Brent , you do look like you are in a happy place...
Kuz Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 OK, Tell me why that's not a H-150DC.... I thought that was called a 170!
slider313 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 The symmetrical rounded cutaways give it that LP JR double cut look; hence the 137 designation. The difference here is the flametop. I LIKE it.
slider313 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 So......how do WE get one made to OUR specs?
zookroo1 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Awesome thread! I've always heard that chunky seafoam green paint is the best protection from humidity...
