This is the repaired cracked neck on my HFT 445. It was a factory reject, but it is a great playing and sounding instrument, stays in tune! -

Here you see the repaired cracks. The repaired joint is probably stronger than if it had never cracked. -

Aside from the strumming marks, the spruce top had a couple cracks south of the bridge. As Jim Deurloo at the plant told me, "gives the instrument even better tone." He's right, IMO. -

I'll try to ease off the hard strumming! This was a factory reject that was buffed up and cleaned by the boys at Heritage, rescued from the scrapheap. It is a sentimental favorite! I've resisted the urge to install a pickup in it so far.. -
