  1. A guy on the forum who called himself Cryoman was making those for forum members for a time. And yeah, a good look for those.
  2. No kiddin'! At least you have company. Man, I loved that thing!!
  3. So...we're opening these wounds again: My first Heritage, a blonde H-576; a mint double-cut, cherry '59 Les Paul Junior ($75 at a yard sale); '52 Les Paul Gold Top; early '70's Guild F-50R; Gibson Custom Shop Robbie Krieger Les Paul Custom (What a player! What tone!); '67 sunburst, double-bound Fender Tele.
  4. Had a Suhr Badger 30 (head, through a Marshall 1965A 4x10). Great amp with punchy cleans that I loved! A swell pedal platform, too!
  5. I'll never forget (I have phone video) the first time I played the Real Thing in a studio, while working on my benefit project three years ago! My god it was loud (with a gobo between me and the Leslie, it was still bowel liquifying)!! And the sound was glorious !! I felt what it must be like to play in the viola section of a symphony orchestra.
  6. New Cry Baby I bought for the studio got the job done. Also have an ancient Italian made Clyde McCoy Vox wah, patent pending. They tell me it's worth some cabbage....
  7. I still chuckle at the first time I saw Heritage's Plek machine...covered in a patina of sawdust, with several coats hanging on it. Gotta love the Ol' Boys...!
  8. I think it was at the first or second PSP. I was outside the barn, and heard the most glorious tone coming from inside! Glorious ! It was Kenny with his Millie, into Jon Gundry's handwired Marshall Bluesbreaker clone.
  9. My Super Eagle and a stop-tail 150 built for the late Sam Moss, who introduced me to Heritage guitars almost twenty years ago. I think Guy still has that 150...maybe?
  10. Yep! Saw this Saturday about five minutes after Tim Pierce posted it. I was floored, but not so surprised. Wanted to post it immediately but with the HOC site in absentia.... This is a must-watch for us. And as the owner of a Custom Core...well, I'm no Tim Pierce.
  11. Mark, your tale really resonated with me. I could go on and on...so I'll try not to. We had a pretty good band going for nearly five years. Great venues, festivals, opened for a number of national acts, several multiple times. We demanded and got better money than most of the acts at our level. We produced three studio and two live albums, of which we're mighty proud. We have two tunes on a You Tube channel with over 80,000 hits. There were...or my business partner and I publicly said there were multiple reasons for euthanizing the band a year ago. But there was one root cause. Our very talented frontman, a crowd favorite, was a toxic personality. And he was directly or indirectly responsible for several episodes such as yours, not to mention being pretty abusive to one of the band. We tried, all four of the rest of us, and mightily, to cover, compensate and apologize for, and explain away his behavior. In the end, he was the end of it. We really were at the top of our game, but now Ed and I often reflect on what a great decision pulling the plug was. Sure, there are aspects of performing I miss, but just to excise this guy from the lives of the rest of us was worth it. Good luck!
  12. Get some black felt fabric, two yards of it. Cut it into several smaller ( 1 to 1 1/2 feet in length) pieces and gently feed those, one at a time, into both "F" holes. Also, learn where to stand, relative to the amplifier, to reduce feedback. Don't use a stand for your amp, which aims the amp directly up, at you and the guitar.
  13. Still in love with this one! Long gone....
  14. Sigh...! For me, this is the one that got away....
  15. Right, bolero. Having just retired from teaching, I had no pupils. Had no class, either....
  16. Gorgeous color!!! Gorgeous figure!!!
  17. About time! Welcome, man. I think you'll enjoy most of what transpires here. Looking forward to seeing the plank....

    '94 H576

Interesting to see this piece! My 576 is a '90, and it has a stop tailpiece. Nice to see another one with bound headstock and block inlays. These are great guitars! Very versatile!
