So i picked up one of the Carvin stereo amp pedals a few years back and it's really pretty cool. I read about thes Valeton amp/FX modelers getting rave reviews, especially the GP-5 which is on sale at Sweetwater for $63.99. I ordered one as now I will have a complete amp set up that will sit in one hand as a spare amp in case one of my rigs goes down. Everything I have read says this little pedal is amazing sound wise with multiple Chorus, delay, distorion models, etc.as well as amp models and IRs.. I also plan on keeping it in my bag as a spare reverb unit. While watching one of the videos, I noticed Steve Sterlacci playing on an H-535. I was thinking of the Academy. I own a Prospect 12 which must be very rare as I have never seen another anywhere. It is a truly great 12 string. There are someother unkown Heritage guitars out there also. I do own the Leon Rhodes model which is very much a tele style guitar. I am always looking for one of the Aaron Cowle Heritage mandolins and would love to try out one of their flat tops.

I have both the H-160 Stat and this one which is an H-162. I gigged with the 162 for about 8 years after I got it. Back when nobody knew what Heritage guitars were worth I could find them dirt cheap. I think I got the 162 for $400. The Stat was a bit more, like $700 and had been sitting in a music store for years. Both had Schallers and if you have read my posts, I have always found Schallers to be lifeless. I put some kind of Dimarzio's in each of them and they became great guitars. The Whammy bars on both stay in tune. THe 162 is really light and the Stat has a rather fat neck and is pretty heavy. The Stat has a weird kind of switching system that took a while to get used to it. The 162 has a coil tap. This post has inspired me to take them off the wall again..... I posted this video of me playing my stat a few years back. I got hired to do the guitars on this session and then he wanted me in the video. Do 101s have an active pickup?

I use a HOTONE Ampero for my Quad Cortex and I have no complaints.

I use MIDI to switch preamps all of the time. However, the Egnater/Synergy stuff is already MIDI so it was not too tricky to set it up. In my acoustic rig I also use MIDI to switch IRs in my line 6 powercab. I use a really nice Martin D-28 IR and a Gibson Loar mando Ir.....I switch instruments hit a button and I get a different preset in the PC. I am an old guy and back in the 80s I stupidly thought MIDI was just for keyboards. I learned of quite a few applications for guitar and stubbornly learned how to set it up but in no way can I do all of the things I know it can do.

Yeah, whatever........I just couldn't pass up the pedal for the price. It's mostly in the fingers anyway......

I have never owned a Klon but have heard and played many. I have always liked them, just never owned one. I was watching the Anderton guys do a clone shootout. What hit me was that the Behringer Zentara was pretty much indistinguishable from a "real" Klon and every bit as good or better that all of the other clones out there. So I figured I would try one. The Zentara is by Behringer and is currently $62.97 US at Sweetwater so I could not pass it up. It is well built and sounds really great. I had read that the build quality was good and it certainly is. What a great pedal! Most of the other Klon clones start at $200 and go up from there. Granted, I am not a pedal collecter and use either the Line 6 or Quad Cortex versions that are on board their units. This is just a nice pedal to have around for going into a tube amp. I have no affiliation with Sweetwater or Behringer.

So are you saying that my H-576 is a solid top?

That's a pre Tariff Heritage.

The fatter body gives it a fatter tone compared to my H 535. It's that classic jazzbox tone. I would never play the Roy Clark style of music on the 576, It just doesn't seem to be built for that.

I've never played a Roy Clark but if it is a single cut 535, I see my 576 as a bit fatter. I havn't measured them but just looking at them it appears that way.

Mine must have been ordered with upgrades or someone upgraded it. It has gold bridge, tuners, switches, etc. When I got it the owner had put alunitone pick ups in it. They really did not sound good and looked even stranger on a traditional looking guitar. I put a pair of Dimarzio Anniversay humbuckers in it and it sounds really warm. I don't use it much and am thinking about selling it. But I am not sure I want to part with it as it is so cool.

I have a jazz gig on Friday and jazz is not my forte. I can get around but there are no keys ....percussion, bass, violin and me. I pulled out my H-576 and as I had not played it in like 4 years, I forgot what a cool guitar it is. I guess it is like a 575 with a Venetian cutaway and gold tuners, bridge, etc. lots of blingy stuff. it also seems to have a center block. I'm not sure if the 575 is fully hollow or blocked. It really sounds beautiful....warm and full and jazzy. And it is really nice to look at. Anyway, does anyone have any info on these guys? how many were made? mine is an H seriel number which means 1992. I don't know how long they were made. Does anyone else have one or am I alone in the universe with mine?

Brian Auger is cool and most people. even keyboardists never heard of him. I am a fan of his first album with Jules Driscoll as well as all of the Oblivion Express stuff. especially Replacements. That's a cool song list you have going for sure.

I used to know people that would take a certain drug and stay up late writing things that didn't make sense.
