  1. So I went into a music store and they had a BOGO free sale going on. To my surprize they had three brand new Heritages. An H150 CC, an H150 CC Artisan Aged and 575. Basically for $4700 I got a new 575 and a CC Artisan. I struggle with the aged guitar as I usually worry when I get a new guitar that I might get a ding. So buying an aged guitar, one doesn't have to worry. However if I pay less and then not give a shit about the clean guitar I can age it myself. But the flame on the CC Artisan sold me. So now I have more guitars. I suppose that in order to pay for these new ones I will have to sell an older one. I have a K seriel number burst that is quite nice and may show up here in the classifieds soon. Pictues will show up sooner or later.
  2. How can you guys sell guitars that you love? It would be like selling a kid and then years later realizing that you miss them. "Why did I sell little Jimi? Now that I think about it, he was a pretty nice kid.....wish I hadn't....." To paraphrase one of the Freak Brothers "A guitar will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no guitars." I have never sold a guitar that I loved. Maybe that is why I have so many of them. I did have one of those old Stella guitars with cowboys painted on it. My brother and I stripped it as it did not look cool at the time. He still has it au natural. I wished we hadn't stripped it. Does that count?
  3. Whoa Mark! That is beautiful! Was it a local find?
  4. For the most part, I still use all tube amps. My Quad Cortex is starting to appear in smaller gigs though. I will say that all of my FX are now digital with the QC andLine 6 Helix Rack accounting for all of my FX. That being said, I have not had to deal with buying a wah pedal in years as both Line 6 and QC have rather incredible wah models, my favorite being the QC's version of the Bad Horsie. I use the Mission Engineering FX pedals to trigger the wah. I think all in all there are about 12 different wah models between Line 6 and the QC, I do not miss the complicated pedalboards at all.
  5. I thought you had retired? Amyway, that is a cool guitar for sure! I have one a little older and it is just an all round solid guitar. Enjoy it!
  6. My TV Yellow 137 came with the P-90s. That is a great combination!
  7. Thanks for the schematic! I will give it to my amp guy as well as download it and tape it in the back of the amp. I understand McCoy Tyler and quartal harmonies but not schematics. I’ll leave that to the pros or even talented amateurs.
  8. I don't think so as there is a switch that goes from channel one to channel two on the trem
  9. So I had it checked out and the tubes are 2 6V6 pwr tubes 3 12 ax7 preamp tubes 6AQS reverb tube 5Y36T rectifier tube I don't think the rerb is meant for both channels as it tuens out. The second reverb knob says Balance and it changes the nature of the reverb. The tremolo is in both channels but you have to flip a switch between the channels. The EQ is interactive, similar to an AC30 where subtracting bass adds treble, etc. All and all, a cool amp for $450...I got him down $50..... It's pretty spotless!
  10. I never knew that Hank played a Heritage. I love the song. it is so inappropriate.
  11. The headstock looks like a Heritage, but the video is kind of blurry. Is it?
  12. The reverb is out on Channel 2 so I am not sure. At this point channel I & 2 have about the same amount of volume/gain. I am not sure about the tubes yet. I am taking it in to an old tube fanatic who will check out all of these issues. From what I have read online, there are no schematics out there, but he said that he worked on one a couple of years back. In the picture you can see the cool brown footswitch, It also came with the original brown cloth cover.
  13. I picked it up to try and it is a cool amp. One issue is that as I turn up the reverb knob I get more gain. It is a great growly gain, but it is reverb saturated. Hmmm. I am having a friend check it out. For $500 it seems like a great deal and I don't think the reverb issue will be too much to correct. The reverb unit comes out of a hinged back panel so the speaker doesn't shake it. The tremolo is wonderful. As you can see from the pix, it has this cool tacky vibe with a way cool footswitch and brown, red and white bakelite knobs.....
  14. Thanjs for the video. In watching it it turns they are pretty rare in the west. The guy I am getting it from is from the east coast. I think I will go ahead and get it. The guy who is selling it is a harp layer and it was a little much for him. It is pretty spotless and a third of what they seem to be going for. It has that thing where you pull the reverb out of the back and the speaker will not rattle it. Well thought out for sure. I have a spare Weber 12 or two so I will try some experimentation on that. Again, the video was great and articles are cool but it would be nice to hear from someone who has actually played one.
  15. I have a line on a 1962 Premier 15w 1X12 amp in great shape. It has reverb and tremolo but the reverb is out in one channel. Has anyone around here ever owned one? So far my research shows that they were kind of a generic brand but well built from the 50s on. I would just love any personal experience.
  16. Sounds like you would be screwed if you tried selling it with the Heritage sticker. Tell you what.....I'll take it off your hands AS IS and won't tell a soul about it.
  17. Too bad you can't get the Heritage logo on the new neck! Cool bass and a cooler neck.
  18. I like it when my wife goes out of town. I have a shitload of guitars in the studio but when she goes out of town they start sneaking out into the house and I can pick up whatever I feel like and not have to go back out to the studio. If it were up to me I would have them hanging in every room..... My H-170, my Leon, my Prospect 12 and my H 576 would live in the living room and bedroom.
  19. I own the blue leon rhodes and bought it from John Covach. Did you once own it? I was doing a little research and your name came up on the HOC site.

  20. 111518, I see you have the red Heritage Leon Rhodes. I have the blue one. I think there were only five built. I changed out the white pick guard and now have a black pearl on it. It is one of my faves but I don't have a lot of call for it as my H-170 and 162 seem to go with the music I am hired to play lately. My all time favorite Heritage model is the H-170....or at least mine. I don't know why as I have fancier Heritage's, but this particular guitar is just the perfect balance of tone, feel and soulfulness.
