  1. Wow! Thx for the tip
  2. David Gilmour still uses a POS Zoom thing from the 80s to record stuff.
  3. As far as the vid: yep it's nice to see the H150 getting the cred it deserves. 114k views in 2 days? That's not a bad thing. I didn't read the comments probably entertaining though.
  4. Holy Hell, that is a swell guitar!
  5. Haha was just listening to "nighthawks at the diner", great reference!
  6. ps the original owners were masters of building big hollowbodies, those were really Heritage's flagships IMO
  7. Yeah and once they cleaned the shop floor up, all that dust & clutter that had been laying around since the 50s was gone too! Haha, no more dusty mojo... I'll take the skills of someone who can tap tune & build a big hollowbody jazz guitar over a solid chunk of wood with a neck glued on, anyday. I think it's ludicrous how much 50s Les Paul's are worshipped, and priced, compared to the much more demanding & involved build of a hollowbody jazz gtr.
  8. What year is it?
  9. Looks great!!
  10. I had Schaller pickups in about 4 Heritage gtrs. The pickups I replaced them with sound way better.
  11. Pretty neat! I use a small MV Marshall solid state amp from the 80s when I'm playing quiet. Saves the tubes too.
  12. Not archtops but I had a 535 & prospect from the 90s that had thin necks, now have a 535 from 2013 that has a nice 50s style neck so maybe it depends on the year? Obviously if you get a new one you can specify what you want
  13. Or just ask for better pics with better lighting
  14. Hard to tell: wood shifts & moves around with the season, humidity, even geographical location. So any joint or boundary might end up with stress cracks like that on the finish over time. You can't inspect the gtr in person? That would be best.
  15. That's a swell catch Bob!
  16. Yes I think early on in the vid he talks about it. He says Phil Keaggy did the same thing too
  17. Yup I like yours better than the one on their webpage. Good luck at the gig! To quote some brilliant musical visionaries: "whip it good"
  18. Oh yeah!! Very nice indeed
  19. Here's 5 reasons in a Haiku No No No No No
  20. Hey congrats & cool beans. That's a really nice top!!
  21. Yeah noticed that too. Isn't that Glen on the left? Maybe it says "Glen Campbell" on the headstock
  22. Haha, yes, agree pretty jaw dropping technique!! He got a wide variety of tones & great clarity too, even with FX which I find can be challenging with hollowbodies. I often run them direct into a dimed amp, which they excel at & I love. But throwing things like univibe into the mix can get muddy. Fishman is highly regarded for their acoustic pickups I didn't even know they made electric.
  23. This is a nice little amp!
