HeritageBurst Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Hey all, I am new here as of about 5 minutes ago. I've been a Heritage owner since 2006, though I only have one Heritage guitar at the moment. The guitar I currently have is a 2009 H-150CM in vintage burst. It came stock with Seymour Duncan '59s. They sound great, though I want more versatility from the bridge pickup. So, leaving the neck '59 alone (sounds great), I'm going to put a Duncan SH-14 Custom 5 in the bridge, with intentions of splitting it. I've used this pickup in Gibson LPs with a coil splitting mod in the past, and though it's not an exact Tele tone, it sure delivers when you need a Tele type tone. So on to my question......are there any good quality 500k linear push pull pots out there? I see a lot folks using Alpha (because that's about all there is), and the reviews are really mixed, with the majority of them being not so good. The last time I was performing this mod on my Gibsons was around 2005, and CTS push pull pots were abundant. Now I can't find them. Are there any other companies out there making a good quality push-pull pot? Thanks so much in advance, and I'm really glad I finally became a member here!
tulk1 Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 No clue to the pots. But let me welcome you to the HoC. You might consider posting a pic of your 150. We just loves the guitar porn.
HeritageBurst Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 Thanks, Kenny! I, too, love guitar porn.....it's just that my 150 is a bit "naked" right now. Got all the guts pulled out waiting on a harness from RS Guitaworks. When I get her back together, I will definitely post a pic of her. Thanks again for the welcome....glad to be here!
