Gitfiddler Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Email from Heriage dealer: "Your guitar should get buffed out and finished up in the next day or two and I should have it sometime next week. When I get it, I’ll give it the “once over” , give you a call and then get it right out to you."
NoNameBand Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Congratulations! Another proud father. Lets have a cigar.
FredZepp Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Excellent.... a new , customized Heritage.... How eager you must be...!! Man, to picture it making it's way through the process at Parsons St... a bit of Kalamazoo magic on its way....
Gitfiddler Posted September 15, 2010 Author Posted September 15, 2010 Fred~I am so freakin excited and proud to have Marv and the boys build this for me. One of the first photos of it came by way of a very mischievious HOC photographer (who will remain nameless to protect the guilty!). This is what he sent me as a teaser about a month ago!
jmc7581 Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Whoopee! What're you getting? Is it a boy or a girl? My own pending custom order 535 got buffed on Monday, but a spot on the headstock has to be touched up - so getting it to Jeff Hale is still another week away, and then to me after he sets it up. Maybe I should start thinking about a C-section ....
koula901 Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Congratts!!! What did you order! wish I was on an email update list - do you think I could get on one to give me updates on my 137? Should I ask Vincent, or is this something special you get, and maybe I shouldn't bother asking, so as to not spoil it for others who do get it.

Ok , that teaser is almost cruel.... ( but nice to have ) .. There must be more pics of it in the crafting stage. It'd be tempting to take a long drive and visit the plant during the creation of your new Heritage.

I'm sure that Vince will not be at all put off if you ask him periodically for undates on your guitar. Just as long as you don't call him every other day. YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER. More importantly to them, you are THEIR customer. They will happily accommodate you, just as they always have for each of us. You should probably ask for Bill Paige. He'd me more likely to have the time to run around in the plant, hunt down your guitar and give you an update on it. By the way, Gitfiddler . . . we appologize for the unintentional hijacking of your thread. This thread is about you and your new guitar. Congrats!! I'm happy for ya!! I'm driving to the plant in 2 weeks to pick up my new Golden Eagle . . . . and I'm just as anxious as you are!!

I bugged my dealer more than the plant on this one. It's my first custom order and I'm as excited as a little girl going to her first slumber party. (No offense to any little girls here!) Master photographer and prankster, HFBird took a few 'work in progress' photos during the PSPIII festivities. Here's another one...
Thundersteel Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Looks like a hollow body, possibly an H575?
big bob Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Looks like a hollow body, possibly an H575? Um Eric, we saw this guitar on the tour, the 575 with the evil clown burst... in the finish room... remember ...or does the Bells got your tongue...
Guest mgoetting Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Looks like a hollow body, possibly an H575? All I see is a larger bound headstock. That suggests it's not a 140/150 style. But this is a custom, so it could be anything.
Guest mgoetting Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Um Eric, we saw this guitar on the tour, the 575 with the evil clown burst... in the finish room... remember ...or does the Bells got your tongue... Well, that narrows it down all right.
Gitfiddler Posted September 15, 2010 Author Posted September 15, 2010 I know that a few of you guys spotted my unfinished naked lady in the finishing room upstairs at PSPIII and appreciate ya'll not spillin' the beans just yet. But I PROMISE, as soon as I have a look at her (fully clothed and made up nice and pretty) I'll share her with you...with photos. Like Lance did with Kate and her amazing mini pickup H170 work of art, I left some of the details to Marv to work out on his own. One thing I made sure of with this piece, is that her neck profile will be nice and chunky, with a slight asymetrical carve on the bass side. Perfect for my big old hands! Mmmm, I can hardly wait for some good pickin on this new gitfiddle!
Thundersteel Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 in the finish room... remember ...or does the Bells got your tongue... Honestly, I don't remember that one. Maybe it WAS the Bells!
FredZepp Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Um Eric, we saw this guitar on the tour, the 575 with the evil clown burst... in the finish room... remember ...or does the Bells got your tongue... Hmm , in the finish room. I remember lots of beauties, but can't identify by the headstock...
Kuz Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Congrats and well done going for YOUR Custom Heritage. I promise you that having a guitar made to your personal specs will be something you cheerish for your life!!! Can't wait to see that baby come home!!!
High Flying Bird Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Ok , that teaser is almost cruel.... ( but nice to have ) .. There must be more pics of it in the crafting stage. Big Bob was just as guilty of this as was I. An hour or so later I sent the front of the head stock. Later after we got back from jamming at Jimmyman's I had an e-mail from the Guit almost pleading with me to send the rest of the pics.... which I did. When we were at 225 Parsons I called the Guit and asked him what the guitar was and who it was ordered through. I told him that Marv was going to take me to it and I swear I could hear his drawers suck up into his arse. Guit, that pink guitar will be just fine for a man your size. Just don't cross the bridge into San Fran and you should be alright.

Spectrum13 Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Tim has a blister 575 and the wider headstock lacks a diamond or eagle... My guess... OSB 575 custom with single coils (P90 or Charlie Christian) or a floating mini bucker. Might be a a 525 dressed up too.
Gitfiddler Posted September 17, 2010 Author Posted September 17, 2010 My guess... Might be a a 525 dressed up too. We have a WINNER! I ordered what I call an H-525 P90 Custom. (Asymetrical '59 Neck Profile, Bound Headstock and Neck, Inlayed Logo, Mini-Block Inlays, and oh yes, Choice Woods with Sunset Burst finish!) Here are two more HFB (Ron Warren) photos taken at PSPIII of Marv the master craftsman, holding her during the pre-assembly painting/curing/sanding/polishing process.
