smurph1 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Tried to post this story yesterday, but I couldn't get on the board..But anyway..I got up yesterday fired up the coffee pot, and plugged my "sweetheart" into the 'ol Classic 30..Man I felt like I went to the crossroads and made a deal with the devil..And to think that I used to think a laminated top guitar was inferior..Man was I wrong..I can wring just the right amount of feedback out of it at just the right time..TOO SWEET!! Even wrote a letter to Vince Marv, Ren and the gang, thanking them for the great deal, and the great products..
golferwave Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Excellent! That's something we all need to do...send a note to the Kalamazoo crew thanking them for the dedication and skill they put into the intruments we all enjoy.
schundog Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Yep, Smurph, they are awesome guitars. I've got a bunch of guitars in all shapes and sizes, but the combination of tone, feel, and vibe of the 535 just "does it" for me. The one in this b/w pic is my trans red 535, the first Heritage I bought. Shortly after I got it plugged in and tuned up, I knew it wasn't going to be my "last" Heritage!! P.S. I love my Peavey Classic 30, too!! I put a Weber Blue Dog speaker in mine, along with new JJ tubes, and it screams. You have good taste, my man, and chops to boot! I'm the one who told you the night you got that 535 to "not wear it out on the first day!!" You were tearin' it up!
schundog Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Here's a little better pic of the 535, next to my Millie...
