yoslate Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 One of my first experiences in researching Heritage guitars was Roman's web rants. He's shrill, self-serving, and has had more press on this forum than he deserves. What say let's bury him in this thread? I'd much rather spend my time here being enlightened by any of dozens of you regarding technical questions, or read about someone's New Guitar Day, or ogle guitar porn.
t0aj15 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Never met the guy but he is a legend (or whatever). He's a legend alright, a legend in his own mind.
SouthpawGuy Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I won't comment on the man himself. Every now and then the HOC generates a stinker of a thread. This one is definitely qualifies for the stinker of the month. Best flushed and forgotten.

This one is definitely qualifies for the stinker of the month. Best flushed and forgotten. I don't blame the OP at all. He is new to this part of the Heritage experience and he has, understandably, questions. The fault, I would say, lies, if anywhere, with the subsequent posters who turn this into a 3 pager. ...and, yes, I do realize that I made this thread one post longer. But, then, this thread doesn't bug me.
JeffB Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 There are similar threads like this on other guitar forums. Nothing that has been said here would be out of place in any of them.

cod65 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 for the sake of humantiy, can we ask the admins to delete this entire mess? I think it might show up in a google search, if Im not mistaken. No good can come of it. if you want to rag on R#man, Harmony central seems like a good place to start

Jazzpunk Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I didn't 'rag' on anybody. I posted specific examples outlining misinformation and false representation. I sincerely hope that when someone 'googles' the 'Blues Deluxe' they will find my posts and be able to make an informed decision. They can weigh their options and decide for themselves if they would rather have the original Eastman design for less or purchase the Roman model. If there is something negative in pointing out when a dealer's 'sales pitch' is potentially misleading, than we'll just have to agree to disagree on what constitutes valuable information for consumers.

Ah geez, I'm sorry jazzpunk. didnt mean that in a confrontational or accusatory tone. I gotta add those emoticons no matter how dumb they seem Ramin certainly has no love for Heritage, and in that regard solely I would completely discount him A Ive said before, though , it was thru his sight that I first learned about Heritage, back when they was friendly. I also learned a few things about the Pope and other interesting, wild rants

602a Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Called Him about a Heritage when I was looking for my first one and was told they were about as good as Epiphones by sales person. Web site reminds me of Old movie 'Casino".

Millennium Maestro Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Called Him about a Heritage when I was looking for my first one and was told they were about as good as Epiphones by sales person. Web site reminds me of Old movie 'Casino". Thats really funny to me... When I first got exposed to Heritage it was through the E.R. Shop and they touted them as better than gibson, prs and many others. The tune however changed when he lost the dealer rights. I HAVE FOUND NOTHING THAT CHANGES MY MIND FROM THE FACT THAT HERITAGE IS THE BEST!!
Vincelewis Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Ed Roman is a waste of good sperm and stem cells Hey Brent, Just roaming here a little between students and you made my day..tell us what you really think..Vince
Hfan Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Hey Brent, Just roaming here a little between students and you made my day..tell us what you really think..Vince Oh well, as this thread still seems to have some life in it, I'll add a positive remark. The way the members here have rallied in support of Heritage is an illustration of our loyalty to the brand and the people behind the brand. I believe that the quality of Heritage guitars and the refreshingly up front and honest way they do business and stand by their products speaks volumes. Also a puzzelment (to me anyway)... how does that other dude stay in business???

ledzef Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 I love my Heritage Blues Deluxe I bought off of Ed and at the end of the day that's really all that matters. Not defending the guy but I will defend how good my guitar is though.
