Connor Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I tend to rotate through my guitars, getting them out and played for a few days and then back in the case again while I pull out another one. I have had my Herritage H 550 on the stand for a few days now and I can't stop drooling. Occassionally I'll even moan a little. I'm stumped! How can I get this under control?
Kuz Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Easy, buy another Heritage and you do the same to it!!!
fxdx99 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I have had my Herritage H 550 on the stand for a few days now and I can't stop drooling. Occassionally I'll even moan a little. I'm stumped! How can I get this under control? Even easier - sell your 550 to me. Out of sight out of mind...
tulk1 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 This is a bad thing that needs controlling?
FredZepp Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Put the strings on upside down... You will either become frustrated ... or become Jimi Hendrix.
Isaac Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Man... I do the same with my heritage. They are just beautiful works of art. Meaning I haven't see one thats the same. Every guitar is different. I can't wait to purchase another one.
Guest HRB853370 Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Hey Greg, I have the same affliction with ALL of my six strings. I just recently acquired a 550 that looks identical to yours, with the exception that it does not have the H embedded in the tailpiece. What year is yours if I may ask? So yes, just keep rotating them and keep playing all of them. That way you wont give yourself a reason to begin selling them off!
schundog Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 In addition to the beautiful color and shape of that body, I really dig the split block fretboard inlays. Don't worry, ogling over them is half the fun! I don't have one single guitar in it's case; they are all out on stands or on string swings so I can see them all of the time.
Connor Posted September 21, 2010 Author Posted September 21, 2010 I just looked. My H 550 is a 2008 model. I gave it a work out again this morning, and once again, I am just amazed at this instrument. My H 550 is not my only Heritage guitar so I confess, I feel the same way about the other one too. There is something about them! Has anyone heard of Heritage making acoustic instruments? There is alway room for one more nice acoustic guitar in my collection.

Connor Posted September 21, 2010 Author Posted September 21, 2010 I live in Duluth MN...... Great place to live and play guitar
mark555 Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Even easier - sell your 550 to me. Out of sight out of mind... It is more blessed to give than receive, don't sell it to fxdx99, simply give it to me and feel that warm glow in your heart.......

It's a common disorder, especially, among the HOC. The good news is, it is not life threatening and can be treated by playing your heritage, sharing experiences and pictures with your fellow stricken brothers. Support groups are most effective with this disorder. It may also help to tinker with, clean/polish and the occasional string change. However, staring at your Heritage too long may cause blindness. They are not toys and are to handled with loving care.
Connor Posted September 25, 2010 Author Posted September 25, 2010 I'm switching to a different guitar today as part of my usual rotatation. I'm putting the H 550 away and pulling out the H 155. Now the drooling will begin all over again!
