Guest mgoetting Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I brought the 525 in per Ren's request. He looked at it a moment and rubbed him thumb through the f hole. He then turned to Bill Paige and said, "Bad paint job, Billy" Bill looked at me and said, "We can do better." I asked what the stuff was on the side of the f hole- buffing compound. I told them the f holes don't really bother me and what I want is a pickguard. They want to correct the f holes without charge anyway. A pickguard doesn't usually come on the 525 due to the space constraints between the binding and the neck pup. I pointed out that I've seen it done before. They are giving it to someone else, I think Marv, to figure out. I'll post follow up pics.
