I told Marv that I had a nice 535 so I wasn't hurting too bad. It's not like I need it for a gig at the Fillmore or anything.

Now about the brain eating... you would just be eating shit if you came to my house for that meal.

A few days before I ordered my H-357 my boss ordered a BMW convertible sports car. They built the car, shipped it to the states and he will pick up his car next week. My 357 is still a month out.

But you know what? When Bill is having to carry his car in for all the little problems it will have, I'll play a sad song for him on my H-357. I wouldn't trade my 357 for his BMW. A BMW doesn't mean anything to me. A custom made Heritage Firebird, hand made by Marv Lamb, is something special. It can't be rushed and I don't want it to be. Neither does Marv.

I am willing to wait until Michigan, I mean Hell freezes over. :icon_thumright:

Hey Ron... Check this out... I believe that Marv is making your guitar....

Hey Guys,

With all this talk about custom orders, I've got to ask: Would Heritage likely do an H575 with a spruce top, oval sound hole, and a floating pickup? Sort of a latter-day Howard Roberts Custom-style guitar I've been dreaming about.

Thanks,

Greg

Hey Greg,

That custom sounds do-able.. but you never know. They sometimes nix ideas for technical reasons, they do know their stuff.

Also.. I wonder why my vid didn't properly embed in the post prior, let me try again..

Hell yes it is! You can see my camera on the far right side of the video and you can see Marv looking at me to get the photos.

Man, this is what makes this place so great.

Heritage does make a spruce topped 575 with the floating pickup. Now your task is to talk them into the oval sound hole.

Nice video FredZepp - who's the guy with big hands and the funny guitar?

How do I go about doing that? Through a dealer? Spec it through the dealer then the dealer goes to bat or can I just call them up and discuss this kind of thing directly?

I've actually thought about a Sweet 16 with those specs, as I might want the longer scale length.

By the way: Does Heritage make a floating pickup with adjustable pole pieces?

you could always call Heritage direct and spec it with Vince, then telll them which dealer you want to use. That way you are speccing it directly with the factory...less chance for error
