jmc7581 Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Okay, okay. I do have more pics. Warning - there are some some real camera-slingers on this forum, I know (Mr Bird comes to mind), but I'm not one of them. No high art here, just more of the same old same old. Given the slightly - how shall I say this - exotic? outre? - tastes of some of this members of this Board, I thought I would try a little pandering. First - for Brent. Thanks, BTW, for that photo of the 3 wholesome girls in my original post. My wife's been complaining about the quantity of weird spam we get on our computer (watches and viagra), so by way of trying to reassure her it wasn't coming from any websites that I visited, I pulled up my post, scrolled innocently through your responses, only to find ... well, I had some explaining to do. Nice. Anyway, I thought you might like a photo of the subject reclining on sheepskin. The lighting makes it more, well, sultry, than in real life. Thought you'd like that too.
jmc7581 Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 Mr Seacup seems to like backsides (don't we all?) So this one's for him.
jmc7581 Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 And finally, here are some "nature" shots. C'mon, you know what I mean.
High Flying Bird Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 You did good. Heritage knows how to make a finish, huh?
schundog Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I, too, REALLY like that finish. Not too light, not too dark, no over the top flame. Tasteful. It doesn't hurt that it's on my favorite style guitar!
jmc7581 Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 You did good. Heritage knows how to make a finish, huh? Thanks, HFB. High praise from a Master. I know enough to know there's nothing special about the photography - but it's hard to completely screw up a subject as nice as this one!

It doesn't hurt that it's on my favorite style guitar! I'm biased - but it really is as gorgeous as it looks. BTW - am I right that you and Smurph1 are the founding members of the 535-through-a-Classic-30 Club? Can I join? That's my main amp. Do we have a clubhouse? Secret handshake?
FredZepp Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Great job on the pics... very nice. Those nature pics are awesome. You have to be pleased with how those turned out. They show off that guitar/finish beautifully.
tulk1 Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Sorry, no pictures in the grass ........... whats up with that? A beautiful guitar like that needs an official "Grasser" picture. ..........
jmc7581 Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 Sorry, no pictures in the grass ........... whats up with that? A beautiful guitar like that needs an official "Grasser" picture. .......... LOL! You're right - I don't know what I was thinking ...
Doug Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Those photos are real purdy. Nice guitar too. Definitely shag worthy.
ronalr Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Great guitar...great pictures...you take way better pictures than me....love the one on the sheepskin!!!!!

jmc7581 Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 This will have to do until you can take your own picture. .......... Aaaugh! Alchemist! Demon! Seriously - nice work, but anyone who has seen my lawn will spot this as a fake in a second.

Gorgeious pics, soon, maybe I too can join that club. Enjoy your new baby.
pushover Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 You're just full of yourself aren't you... Ah well, who can blame you. That is one beautiful guitar. Probably even plays as nice as it looks..
zookroo1 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I'd have to say I approve of this one... Sweet looking guitar and great pics!
High Flying Bird Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Thanks, HFB. High praise from a Master. Yes I am a Master... not photographer but baiter. Can I hold that guitar for a minute? Don't worry that's just Carnauba Wax.
jmc7581 Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 Yes I am a Master... not photographer but baiter. Can I hold that guitar for a minute? Don't worry that's just Carnauba Wax. Pervert. Get away from that instrument! No, I meant the guitar.

It's kind of a clunky name, but I hereby grant thee membership!! LOL. Actually, Smurph1 is the president of the club, as that cancer-free hillbilly can flat out play the SNOT out of this combination. He had just picked up his 535 from Heritage this summer at PSPIII, was back at the barn, and was grinning from ear to ear as flames came belching out of his Classic 30. It really is a good combination. I, on the other hand, well.... Come to PSPIV and we'll work on a handshake. In fact, you HAVE to come to PSPIV, as the Henderson Compound is the official clubhouse of all things Heritage.
tbonesullivan Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 what exactly is the difference between "Dark Almondburst" and "Chestnut burst"? That is one REALLY nice looking 535 though.
jmc7581 Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 what exactly is the difference between "Dark Almondburst" and "Chestnut burst"? That is one REALLY nice looking 535 though. Thanks man. Even better in person. It's funny you ask - I'd noticed before that people's photos of "dark almondburst" guitars looked surprisingly red; and I think I saw that some folks had commented that they weren't really so red in real life. My experience is the same - for some reason the camera reads the finish as having more red that it really does. It does have some red, but not quite as much as it looks; it's mostly just, well, a beautiful darker version of almondburst! The chestnut burst, by comparison, looks almost purple-red or deep maroon to me. For myself, I much prefer the Dark Almondburst.

I'd love to make to PSPIV; bit of a hike from DC, though, and right about the time we usually take our family vacation. Now, if I can talk my wife into vacationing in Kalamazoo ...
Bulldog Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Ok, I can't take it anymore your photo's are beautiful! And yes, this HOC group is a bad influence. Yesterday I ordered a 2010 H535 from Jay Wolfe, faded cherry 25th anniversary. I already own a 575c and it always gets comments at every gig. So, I can't wait to hear the 535 through my Swart AST amp. The combination of the 2 might be the end of me. But, I'm willing to risk that. Enjoy your incredible new guitar, it's a work of art without question.
