602a Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 When the 150 was first started did they use Dot inlays and what letter was the first in serial #? I talked to a guy with a B letter 150 and it has dot inlays on the neck. I was just wondering what wood it would be in the B. No pun intended.
FredZepp Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 The H-150 was introduced in 1988.. Serial letter= E While the majority of them are traps.. Certain models (and some special orders) would have dots. Like a 150 Special or a 150P Check the control panel label on the B model.. it should be a 140..

He did that Fred and said it was a 150 but he listed it a while back as a 140. I don't think he knows what it is.

tulk1 Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Soft Then I'd have to say he has the serial number wrong. Can't be a "B" and have a soft horn. Just didn't happen. So, if it is indeed an H150 (with a soft horn), the earliest the serial number can begin is "E". Maybe it's written so poorly the E looks like a B. That could happen. And if it has dots and is a 150, most likely it's a 150P (poplar body). Altho', thinking there was a 150 Special that had dots. And of course, there is always the possibility of it having been custom ordered with dots ... altho' I can't imagine why.
High Flying Bird Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 This is Jim's 150. He ordered it in 1996. I think it is a special. It is pretty thin but not a 140. At the bottom is a 1990 150 with sharp horn. It was one of two made for Roy Clark. Roy liked the other one. This one was heavy as hell.

Have seen that pic quite a few times, and never really noticed the Natural Lite beer can hanging from the j-hook before.
