jjkrause84 Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Well, I'm back in! Just picked up a cherry 535 from TGP for $1,250...not bad.....not bad at all! I still wanna buy a second 'keeper' 535 (in pretty much ANY colour but red!) and sell the red one to off-set the cost but, for now, I'm pretty pleased. If anyone wants to unload a brown (or walnut, or OSB, or chestnut burst, etc. etc.) 535....just lemme know! http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=782732&highlight=Heritage+535

However, there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with red! Its THE classic color for the semi.
schundog Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Congratulations! That was a short hiatus from the land of Heritage! And, I have to second the previous comment, "Youse gotta problem wit' red 535s?!" Just kidding. Enjoy your new guitar.
brentrocks Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Congrats!!! that is a looker!!!! kinda ironic....i also have a new trans wine/blood red Heritage comming soon....maybe today if we get rained out
tbonesullivan Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 welcome back! I hope I never have to leave the club. That is a nice classic look right there. Though, personally my favorite color is usually Almond Sunburst, or maybe the blueburst.
FredZepp Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Nice one... and it has Duncans in it. This thread has me seeing red... and it's all good.
tulk1 Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 That's a nice guitar ....... for a red one. It's no Prospect, mind you. But a very! nice Red 535. I like how it's transparent enough to show the top.
H Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Welcome back, JJ However, the bottom line is that if you love Heritages it doesn't really matter whether you have one or not: you'll always be welcome on this forum
smurph1 Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Glad you got your 535 gas relief! However, there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with red! Its THE classic color for the semi. i gotta agree!! It's a Beaut!!
ces Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 sweet. red is my favorite color, but on guitars i'm a fan of the wood finishes too. but im sure you aint mad at that new red axe!
jjkrause84 Posted October 29, 2010 Author Posted October 29, 2010 Well...I post back in a few weeks when I have my NGD....maybe I'll be able to overlook it's red-ness? Thing is I've ALWAYS owned red guitars (i.e. I've never owned a guitar before that was not red)......it's just that brown 535s look so damned good!
golferwave Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Cool piece!! Gotta have a red one in the collection.
High Flying Bird Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 That is a nice looking 535. I'll bet it looks even better in person.
bolero Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 every time I see one of them I get a flashback to Eric Clapton wailing away at the Royal Albert Hall, Cream farewell gig ....I would love to be in a big room like that with 2 old marshall stacks!! and a guitar from kalamazoo
