brentrocks Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Ron inspired me to take my H 357 out for a shoot...my shots arent nearly as cool as his but i tried...
yoslate Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Sweet MOPAR! The jeans with the cuffs, cigs in the sleeve, and the sled give it a kind of Danny Gatton feel. Maybe this'll inspire a series a bunch of us could get in on. Don't think I'll pose with my Jetta, though; don't think that'd work too well.... Heh!
Spectrum13 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 pork pie hat..... pork pie hat.. pork pie hat!!!
Patrick Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Ron inspired me to take my H 357 out for a shoot...my shots arent nearly as cool as his but i tried... Brent: Holy shit . ... the first shot is absolutely an album cover. The third shot is a runner up and the one with your Dad is one for the family album for sure!!!
GuitArtMan Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Love 'em! One question though; do people in Michigan still roll up their pants cuffs like that???
pegleg32 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Most excellent Brently!! I like the first one the best, very much an early 60's, late 50's feel. I actually used to dress like that - LOL.
brentrocks Posted October 31, 2010 Author Posted October 31, 2010 Love 'em! One question though; do people in Michigan still roll up their pants cuffs like that??? I was going for the late 50s early 60s retro look....LOL
brentrocks Posted October 31, 2010 Author Posted October 31, 2010 I like this one bestest. how did you do that?
High Flying Bird Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Good job with the clothes and the car. Excellent!
TalismanRich Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I like this one bestest. I can hear the album already..... "BrentRocks - Raucous Rockabilly Redux" Brian Setzer would be proud!
High Flying Bird Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I like this one bestest. Good job Kenny!
tulk1 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Good job Kenny! You inspire me, Ron. ..........
Steiner Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I like this one bestest. B&W w/ a 60's Chevy. Nice touch Tulk1! Oh! BrentRocks too!!!
schundog Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 As mentioned, VERY cool shots, Brent. I'm with Yoslate, though; I don't think I'll be posting any of me in my necktie and jacket with my Heritages in front of the family Honda Odyssey, for instance! LOL. As I was leaving PSPIII, your Dad was pulling up the drive in that old Plymouth; it SOUNDS as good as it looks! Two very cool American Made products there.
Patrick Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 B&W w/ a 60's Chevy. Nice touch Tulk1! Oh! BrentRocks too!!! That ain't no Chevy!!
FredZepp Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 EXCELLENT ...! These are some rockin' pics. I like the second one, but all are good. ROCK ON... I remember you previously having some cool pics taken with the GM 150, I believe.
blueox Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Nice series. Are these taken in Paw Paw? I especially like the first one, as it looks like you are waiting for a train with that track in the foreground. The graffiti adds to the "poor side of town" look. I remember taking the Kalamazoo, Lake Shore & Chicago Ry. excursion a couple of times out of Paw Paw for a scenic ride years ago.
ronalr Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Great shots Brent...I mean ...JAMES DEAN .....all I can say is..."Too fast to live, too young to die"
mark555 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I like this one bestest. You could almost be in Wishbone Ash with a guitar like that.. (yes, I know Andy Powell plays a V, but Martin Turner does play a Thunderbird...) ya'll know where I'm at here, even if I don't.. Nice pics by the way.
brentrocks Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 Thanks guys! It was a lot of fun to set it up and was pretty lucky to find that spot so close to home! Doing a self portrait can sometimes be a challenge.
High Flying Bird Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Doing a self portrait can sometimes be a challenge. You mean, "always challenging" don't you?
