535 - Pots & Pups

I Bought my second Heritage about a month ago, a blond 535. Lovely to play, lovely to look at, but uninspiring to listen to.

 

I'm going to upgrade the pups and pots to Bare Knuckles, and I need to know a few tech details, hope someone can help.

 

Are the pots long or short shaft ?

 

Are the pup legs long or short, long is 1/2" ?????

I'll post some info soon, I just got a red 535 & am going to put some throbak SLE101's in there

the stock 535 pups had short legs, but the longer legs on the throbak's fit in there fine

 

I believe the pots are long shaft, but I didn't measure them, sorry

 

also look at the wiring diagram/difference between the "vintage" wiring & the current one, I much prefer the vintage type as the pickups sound more open to my ears

 

I find the stock schaller pickups sound sterile as well
