Song Writing and Posting Music on H O C

Is there a way of posting music here on Heritage Owners Club?

I think it would be fun to have a place to post so we can all hear what these guitars sound like.

 

Any Thoughts?

We don't have a "music" room, if that's what you mean. But I've posted tons. Kuz posts. Brent posts quite a bit. I just use my own servers, load up mp3s and link them. John and Brent have used ... hmm, I don't remember what site they're using. But I think it's designed just for music. The new forum has an "insert media" button, which I've gotten to work about twice. It's supposed to embed a player linked to the music. Kinda hit and miss for me. Is this what you meant?

Brent uses "Reverbnation" and I use "SoundClick".

 

Basically, they are like Photobucket for music... you can store your original recordings there and then copy the link for others.

 

Post some tracks here on the "Family Tree", we would love to hear them.

I like to use Dropbox, but then again I also don't really post all that many clips here, so I'm sure someone else probably has a better method

 

For Dropbox, you download the app from dropbox.com (free) and it basically just creates a folder on your computer to use with it - you copy the file you want to share into the "Public" drop box folder, then right click on the file and select "Copy Public Link" - then just paste the link into the forum thread (or use the Insert Link tool and paste the link there).

I'll go check out the places that everyone mentioned, and yes, that's what I was talking about.

 

I've been posting music on EZFolk.com & Banjo Hangout. Most of that music is not played on my Heritage Guitars.

 

With all the talk about these fabulous guitars, I think it would be fun to accumulate a few sound bites so we could all hear them.

 

By the way, I started out this morning going outside to look at the planets Venus and Saturn before daylight and then put my H-550 in the case and pulled out my H-155 to put on the stand. It's going to be a good day!
