DFB140 Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I bought my first Heritage last week. It's a 140 in Chestnut burst.I've been checking out a 150CM at a local dealer,but couldn't pony up the $ yet. I figured I'd just pickup this 140 and swap out the pickups and bridge.It won't happen anytime soon.What a great guitar! The weight,sound,feel... are perfect. The pix aren't great,but this guitar is 8) http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb276/DFBCT3/56.jpg[/img] http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb276/DFBCT3/57.jpg[/img]
Gitfiddler Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 DFB140, Welcome to the club! That's a nice H-140 you've got there. Are the pickups original? After you mod it with the new bridge etc., how about some 'before and after' shots for us to drool over?
DFB140 Posted September 8, 2007 Author Posted September 8, 2007 The guitar is all original. I'm rethinking modding it.It's so good now,I don't want to mess with it.
High Flying Bird Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 That's beautiful. A buddy has an H-150 and he didn't like the pick guard so modified it and it looks like the pick guard on this guitar.
Thundersteel Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Welcome! Nice 140! I like the figure in the wood. Nice color, too! Too bad Heritage doesn't make clear pickguards so you can show off that wood.
DFB140 Posted September 8, 2007 Author Posted September 8, 2007 I might just take the pickguard off.I like that look, liked it on my "G" Custom. The top looks so much better than in the pic.I have to get my kids camera and get better shots.
sweet-tooth Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Welcome! Beautiful axe you got there. Congratulations...you are wise
