Studio414 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 My beloved Sweet 16 was stolen from my residence on Monday, November 8, 2010, in Albuquerque, NM. Antique Natural spruce top, highly figured maple back & sides, HRW4 floating pickup. (See photo). Overall condition of the guitar is MINT. Serial Number is: S23702, (Thieves also made off with two high-end Taylor acoustics). I am asking all Heritage owners and lovers to keep an eye out on their local Craigslist and, of course, EBay. The Heritage was in its original OEM hardshell case. There is a huge reward for the guitar's return. If sighted, please contact Studio414@gmail.com. Thanks, GM Lerch
brentrocks Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 i am very sorry....if its a Heritage and it goes up for sale, it usually finds its way here somehow good luck
FredZepp Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 That sucks !!! It's a great idea to post it here... lots of eyes lookin' for Heritage guitars that may see it...
Gitfiddler Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Blonde Sweet 16's are the jewell in the Heritage crown. If your amazing looking guitar shows up for sale outside of alleys and bunkers, we'll see it and let you know.
kbp810 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Really sorry to hear that... it takes a true low life scum bag to steal someone elses guitar - I hope it is returned unharmed, and the thief gets their just deserts
jazzbo Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 So sorry to hear about it.. I am sure a lot of folks will be looking out for your guitar and will report.. I own an identical Sweet 16 , xcept I replaced the pickup with Kent Armstrong custom floater good luck
Halowords Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 That blows! I hope you find them, get them back in mint shape, and the criminals are prosecuted or suddenly develop consciences. On the good news, if it's listed anywhere, it's hard to imagine work NOT getting back here.
Blunote Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Hope you find it..we'll keep a look out. In the meantime, get one of these.
GuitArtMan Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 That sucks!!! I remember when this happened to me... Good luck, I hope you get your instruments back. If you haven't already, you may want to post this over at The Gear Page - they get way more traffic over there than we do here. Mods - is there anyway to make this a sticky?
ces Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 i searched my local CL, SF BAY AREA. There was one that was close, but no. it had dot inlays on the board. anyway, ill keep an eye out. and good luck.

koula901 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Sorry to hear of your loss, Studio. Will definitly keep a watch out for it.
Guest HRB853370 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 ABSOLUTELY SUCKS! Most likely for drug money too. Be sure to alert all of the local pawn shops. No amount of insurance proceeds can replace an instrument you are attached to.

I hope you have documented your ownership and filed a police report. I had a 1968 Gibson Byrdland stolen in 1979. I got it back in 2008. I hope it doesn't take you that long. I also have a similar Sweet 16 with a Bartolini Pickup (less flame).. It is a wonderful instrument. I'll keep an eye out for yours. Good Luck.
