Patrick Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 WOW . . .. That's pretty!! Looks like a really deep dish carve on the top. Good luck and congrats.
jturbo77 Posted November 13, 2010 Author Posted November 13, 2010 When I opened the case at the dealership, my jaw hit the floor. The finish and paint job was EXACTLY what I was hoping for. The 59's sound clear as a bell. I can't say enough about how excited I am.
skydog52 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Congratulations. That is a stunner. Have fun with that beauty!

jturbo77 Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 Hey, JTurbo, that is one beautiful 157 you got there!! What were your custom order specs...Pickups, Weight? Neck carve? I didn't really have custom specs persay, I just wanted them to build something specifically for me I spent some time going back and forth between SD 59's and the Seth Lovers, and I ended up going with the 59's. I opted not to have the pickguard because I think it is a little distracting from the overall paint job which was the right choice for me. But, if I change my mind, they did include it in the case, so that's always an option. Not sure on how much it weighs, I'm a sit down player for the most part anyway, so that is not too much of an issue. However, when I did pick it up after handling my G&L's, there was a noticeable difference, but nothing too severe. I'll have to look into that more. As you see, I ordered a premium top, and I think that's where this particular guitar stands out over all other Heritages I have personally seen and handled. In addition to being a superior instrument to my other two G&L's (Tributes), I really consider this to be somewhat of an art piece, it adds a lot of 'wow look at me' factor to whatever room I place it in.
