Kuz Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Peter Green's '59 which is now owned (or stolen if you believe some) by Gary Moore. Lemon Burst (also notice the different tone/vol knobs for the bridge pup). I can only hope my "Greeny" will fade like the original! Original Greeny My "Greeny" (notice Lyle's Falcon amp!!!)
FredZepp Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Great pics , Kuz. You need to play that 150 hard, to get that relic-ed look of the original...!

I don't know Kuz . . . maybe you want your guitar to take on the persona of the original . . . but, I kinda like your top better than the original. Your's has better flame, more character less dark birch markings and in my opinion, just the right color. If it was my guitar, I would be hoping that it didn't fade at all from where it is.

Well, honestly, truth be told, I hope my "Greeny" stays just like it is now. My "Greeny" was always supposed to be more of a tribute than an actual copy/replica of Peter Green's guitar. I originally had the reflector knobs on the bridge volume & tone knobs, but I never liked reflector knobs, so I put the originals back on. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted my "Greeny" to it's own personality. Not a copy of someone's. I did go with Throbak Peter Green pickups with the out of phase tone in the middle position. And contrary to what Tulk1 may say (LOL he's one of my buddies), the guitar rocks in the middle out of phase position!!!!
NoNameBand Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Just because I love posting Heritage porn.... Fred, you're sick. You should be ashamed of yourself. What do you think you are doing posting content like this on the HOC web site. Are you trying to incite a riot, a veritable stampede to Parsons Street so everyone can have one? Unbelievable.

It's got tons of character and personality just the way it is. It's beautiful!!

Sunlight through a window illuminated the guitar. The figuring on that one is nice, but only fully shows up in certain situations..

blues Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Thanks for this post and the photos. These were obviously taken at a guitar show. Mind if I ask which show it was? Buy the way . . the next to the last photo . . the one with the guitar lying down in its case . . . not the one with the Bigsby . . the one with the stop TP . . . . that's what it's all about man. That's pure heaven! Hi, the pics are from The Vintage Guitar show in Philly this past weekend.
Patrick Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Hi, the pics are from The Vintage Guitar show in Philly this past weekend. I was afraid of that. It's the only Fall Philly I've missed in the last 5 years. Thanks for your response.
FrankS Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 I believe Gary Moore sold the Peter Green Les Paul several years ago. He needed money for an operation and had no medical insurance. Here are a few pics of my H-150 Ultra in VSB.
