MartyGrass Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 There is no redeeming value in this thread. Just a peep show. Amber translucent.
tulk1 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Mark, Are those pics fairly accurate colo-wise? If so, that has to be one of the strangest finishes yet. Sure is unique.

I don't know. I haven't seen it in person. The back looks pretty usual. The wall and fret markers don't look discolored, so it could be a close representation of the top. But it looks like it has a touch of green added. The flame looks nice. It doesn't bookmatch perfectly though. If you are interested in buying it, I will drive out and give you a report. I don't want to go there just for myself. I might end up selling one of my kids for that guitar.

Actually, it maybe the same color as my 575 Custom (That is a gorgeous 157 by the way!). These pics are accurate of the color "Golden Amber" which might be the same color. Heritage is known to tweak the wording of their finishes sometimes.

tulk1 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 As well as the beheaded Eagle. Personally, I avoid looking at that picture.
Gitfiddler Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I try not to look directly at Dr. MG's blonde Golden Eagle Custom in his signature photo strip. What a seductive temptress! Must look away!
MartyGrass Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 Personally, I avoid looking at that picture. I hope to replace it with a new Heritage. I picked up the mortal remains of the Eagle from Ren today. Vince will fax over the damage report so I can submit that to FedEx. Whatever money I get from FedEx I hope to use for a down payment on a customized semi.
