smurph1 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Are they semi solid? Or are they semi hollow? Who cares? They're tone machines!!! yep..and they're purdy too..
Kuz Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I don't have a pick guard (or using Ren's words, a "finger rest") on my 535 P-90 or on my 555 Custom. And I am not a fan of the 150/157's pick guard shape, but I think Heritage did a really nice job with the 535/555 pick guard. It looks very classy. Oh, your guitars are OK as well.
FredZepp Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I love 'em all. I do think that I favor the one on the far right... ASB , I believe. Vintage mojo all over ...
H Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I don't have a pick guard (or using Ren's words, a "finger rest") In the UK, we sometimes call them scratchplates too.
schundog Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 BooYaaah!!! Now you're talking, Patrick!! I can appreciate the Jazz Boxes you posted earlier for the beauties they are, they just aren't my style of guitar, at least for now. (Thank goodness for my wallet.) But 535s and 555s?! Guitar porn, for sure. I honestly would be hard pressed to say which of these three I would love the most, although I'm leaning toward the one in the middle. Glad to see you posting some pics; keep 'em coming.
Gitfiddler Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Sweet Semi Sensations, Patrick! I love all types of gitfiddles, but Semi Hollows are my overall favorite. They each have such a different character, feel and tone. No two are alike. Those three are great examples of Heritage's ability to improve on the perfect all around guitar design.
