MartyGrass Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 I got cut off! She brought it in today. It's a H150 LW. Here are a bunch of pics showing how little wood is left in the body. There were two surprises for me. First, the body is a single piece of mahogany. The LWs I've seen have been two piecers. The second is the pups. I didn't know Heritage used them. I assume they are PAFs. Can anyone explain how Golden Age pups got in this Heritage? No Schallers available? There are many more pics. http://s796.photobucket.com/albums/yy249/mgoetting/H150%20LW/ The fit and finish are very good. The neck is thin. I can't comment much on tone. So far they sound like Seths.
FredZepp Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 That is a very cool Trans Cherry H-150LW. What a cool find. That one would be a blast to rock on. It'll be interesting to hear what you think of the Golden Age/ LW combination. It must be an exciting tone.
Patrick Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Great guitar Mark. Congratulations! It's a beautiful look and vibe. I would love to see a full shot of the finger board. The rose wood looks awesome . . at least what I can see of it. Post some new shots when it's all together and give us a tone report!! That one is unique and should be a keeper.
GuitArtMan Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 I could be wrong but I believe Golden Age are simply Schallers made for Stewart-MacDonlad. Perhaps Schaller had a problem filling an order and asked Heritage to get them from StewMac.
Millennium Maestro Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 They are made specifically for heritage... I have a pair in a 157 from the factory... same yellow lead on the bridge Etc.

Mark, from what we've been able to see, the 150 LWs are chambered pretty much like the Millies. I believe that is what Big Bob found out when he scoped his out. Probably looks like this inside.
