Finally got the Pups changes and coil tap on my 140 I bought awhile back. Sent Bridge Pup to Duncan to have screws cut to fit into body. This thing plays like butter at 8.7 lbs is as heavy as alot of 150's. Great sustain. Gotta love a Oldie but Goodie.post-2267-023064300 1291330097_thumb.jpg

So what pickups are in this now..?

I love those first edition 140's. As I have stated elsewhere, they remind me of the prototypes for the Les Paul that Gibson made. For me they have a classic , vintage vibe that harkens back to the golden age of Gibson.

That one is heavy for a 140, no doubt. But I'm sure that it has tone to spare.

It has a Pearly Gates in Bridge tapped and a 59 in the neck.

Well, that should rock with those. And plays like butter, you've said.

An Oldie, that's a Goldie.

If you've got more pics, we wouldn't mind seeing them... :biggrin_mini2:

Nice looking 140! The gold color looks a lot richer than the gold they are currently using. I like it better. The rose wood board also looks like a great piece of wood. Enjoy it man!
