FredZepp Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 This morning the sun was making the 150 look particularly nice, so I snapped some quick pics. They are about the same as the old pics that all have seen, but I do love Heritage Porn. ( anyone else have new pics to post? )
peteraltongreen Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Hi Fred, It looks very beautiful,Fred, but you get sun ? at this time of year ? I looked out of my bedroom window, and someone had stuck my 140 on the snow ! There was no sign of any sun ! ( With apologies to Chet Atkin's Christmas Album,1963 )
NoNameBand Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 If Santa brings me the new camera I am expecting, I will take some new/better pics of my 535 so you can see the beautiful wood. Shes been a bit shy so far. But I think with the new camera, she may be stepping out.
MartyGrass Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 It goes without saying that your guitars are visually stunning. Where did you get the amber (yellow) toggle? Is the guitar on the right burnt amber or some other finish? Thanks.
602a Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Just wait about a week New addition on the way
schundog Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Mrs. Schundog is getting a Canon EOS Rebel XS for Christmas, a much better camera than our current $10-at-a-garage-sale Finepix that we currently have, so, hopefully, she'll let me borrow "her" new camera, that I, you know, paid for.

( With apologies to Chet Atkin's Christmas Album,1963 ) Peter, those folks in Cincinnatti consider their town a Southern town (for some odd reason)! We got some sunshine in Hotlanta, but the temps have not exceeded 31 in 3 days!! May as well be in Kalamazoo!!!

Is the guitar on the right burnt amber or some other finish? Thanks. I picked up some amber tips on eBay a while back, they add a cool vibe for a small part. The second 150 is Antique Sunburst. This one photographs redish when in the sun, although in person it looks tobacco in normal lighting. (see pic below taken by HFB at PSP II)
yoslate Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Fred, I still maintain that you have two of the most stunning 150's ever! Thanks for the porn!
Patrick Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 These are the most recent of an ALSB Golden Eagle ALS GE.zip
Patrick Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted this one before . .. but, it's just beautiful and I love showing it
brentrocks Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Fred, I still maintain that you have two of the most stunning 150's ever! Thanks for the porn! thats no lie...i love the mineral streaks in the VSB 150
Assumer Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 keep em coming guys. Love to see all the porn.
FredZepp Posted December 15, 2010 Author Posted December 15, 2010 Oh yeah... now including the Terminator Exterminator model and the Union Jack amp. Love the cherry quilt, ...well heck..really all of them.
tbonesullivan Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 thats no lie...i love the mineral streaks in the VSB 150 kinda off topic, but if you want mineral streaks, you should go see if you can still find one of the "earthen maple" Hamer studios that were made. The tops were from some flamed maple that was buried in a bog, and they put it on a bunch of guitars. I wonder if any other makers got their hands on some of that maple.
koula901 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Fred, I got a chance to see "It Might Get Loud" which shows closeups of Jimmy Page's guitar - and yours, mineral streaks and all, reminds me of Jim's LP.
Patrick Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Does this count as mineral streaks? That counts as beautiful flame and beautiful grain

Thanks, that was the look that I was going for when I found that one... BTW, These two 150's are killer... different looks and both killers.
squawken Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 That's a big family ya got there Brent. The Waltons? or Eight is Enough?
602a Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Is this a better pic. The last was small. Is the black vertical colors what you're talking about?
FredZepp Posted December 15, 2010 Author Posted December 15, 2010 Is this a better pic. The last was small. Is the black vertical colors what you're talking about? I believe that I do see some mineral streaks in that one , particularly near the knobs. It doesn't always show up in photos that well, especially with that much flame going on. You'll remember that I posted this pic to show the streaks on the VSB, as they showed up better in this version. I tried the same with that pic...
