Guest HRB853370 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 By this, I mean which Heritage feels most comfortable and at home in your lap and in the palm of your hand. For me, I think it is my 550. Something about it, I just cannot describe, but when I play it, it seems so natural and made for me. I seem to pick it up the most.
tulk1 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 For me it's been the Prospects, ever since I "discovered" them. And my current Custom Prospect is my absolute fav. And that is over the Custom Millie NFH and PSPIII White H555.
smurph1 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Well..Since I only have one at the present time, I'll have to say my 535..It does everything, and does it well!!Rock, Blues, whatever..i can do it on that TONE MONSTER!!
NoNameBand Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 535 and the 150. I know you can;t have it all, if you did, where would you put it? There are so many great Heritage guitars to choose from and I love them all. Only Brent and Patrick can afford them all. For me, the Two must haves in the herd are the 535 & 150.
barrymclark Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 For me, the 575. I think mainly cause I play without an amp for the most part at home and it just sounds SO good unplugged. I do take out the 140 on occasion even if it is to only play unplugged.
brentrocks Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I really like the way my H 357 feels...but H 150s are the berries too
schundog Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 My 535 was my first, and is still my favorite. That said, all 4 get regular rotation.

BTW, I sure with the Red Wings were playing as well as the Thrashers currently are. If they keep this up, I can see them in the playoffs.
H Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 535 at the moment, and it's been a LONG moment, but I know I'll get all loved up with my 170 and 150 in just the same way over the coming months. They're all SO good
Patrick Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 After the joy of spec'ing a new Golden Eagle, assisting Jim Deurloo in picking out the wood from their stock pile, waiting for the finished product . . . and then being 100% pleased and elated with the outcome, I didn't think I would be playing anything other than my new sunset sunburst Golden Eagle for quite some time. Then, I got the 1995 sunset sunburst P90 Super Eagle. There's just something magical about that guitar. It's usually the first guitar I pick up when I sit down to play. Yeah... I'm a jazzer . . . I sit down to play.
Assumer Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Would have been the Mil 155 I foolishly sold but now it is the only one I have, the 150.
eljay Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 the 140 intrigues me but i've got a boatload of solid bodies, already. gotta plant the flag for the 530. eljay
yoslate Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I'd really moved away from humbuckers the last ten or fifteen years. Just something about Fenders and P-90's which works on my ears. Humbuckers in a solid body had come to mean punch and power and heft, which wasn't attractive to me. Even after I got The Holy Grail 150 from Chris (pro-fusion), I had to acquiesce to its being a humbucker guitar. Took some getting used to, even though it's a stunning player. the low-wind Tom Short Tombuckers helped. Great vintage-sounding p'up, without too much horsepower. Well, after about seven months of steady gigging with it and learning how to get what I want out of it, all I really want to do is just wear it out! I frequently gig with the two 150's, The Grail, and the Phat Cat 150. So how lucky can one boy be...???
big bob Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 It's a tie between the stat dlx, h-170, and the 150 custom... Note they all have the gut cut option..They just feel correct!
chico Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I like to pick up the HFT445 the most often. second my H155 chico
FredZepp Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I'm pretty consistant in rotating the two 150's and the 157. Usually the one at hand is the VSB 150, but the 157 always is exciting to grab with some different pickup sounds.
tbonesullivan Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 My 535. It reminds me a lot of the feel of my first REAL guitar that I mowed lawns to save up for: an epiphone Sheraton. It's got a really comfy neck, it isn't super heavy, is comfortable as heck to play standing up or sitting down, and just sounds and looks incredible. My H150CM is nice, and has a creamy tone like nothing else, but the neck access and weight take away from the playing of it, which is just the nature of the single cut LP-style beast.

I, with a lot of Atlanta fans, are cautiously optimistic. We are just loving how great they are playing. Still some tightening needed... but not bad for a couple of months into a rebuild. If we can stay steady enough to make it to the playoffs, well... I hope to play the Wings... cause that'd mean only one thing...

I think that is why I gravitate to the 550 so often, lightweight, nice action, wonderful neck, but that doesnt mean I dont like the 150's!
big bob Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Now that I think of it I play the 575 non cutaway every morning.. just seems like the right way to start the day.
rooster Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 When I play a gig, my Black-and-Tan H150, but at home, my VSB H150 with the Stetsbar. rooster.
skydog52 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 For the longest time it's been the semi-hollows. 555s 535s. I've been playing my Sweet 16 lately and loving that. Hell who am I kidding. I gravitate to every guitar Heritage makes!

Fred's got the 150 strut down pat.

My H150CM is 10.5lbs of fun, and gets the meaty tone that everyone craves. SD59's give it the classic crunch, and it just has that single cut LP-style sustain and smoothness that only comes from having a big heavy hunk o' wood. It's also dang beautiful. Mine is definitely a KEEPER.
