schundog Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I've heard some of you mention that there was a fire at Parson's Street a few years ago that nearly did Heritage in. Anybody have any details on this?
FredZepp Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I wish that I had a better memory for details. Ren talked about this at PSP II and showed us the damage that you can still see to some parts of the ceiling. I believe that he said there was 4 inches of water in the shop when it was done and that they had to replace a really expensive elevator in the building. Anyone with a better memory, please correct me....
MartyGrass Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Here's some info for you. http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=273649 Warning: There are controversial comments, including headstock, manufacturing and marketing criticism. Nothing new though.
bolero Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 ahh....this solves a big mystery with my blue H150CM it's a factory 2nd, but the only thing I could find wrong with it appeared to be water damage the lower bout has some raised grain, underneath the finish, that I am certain is is due to water. plus some minor finish checking around the bottom & back until now I assumed that happened while someone owned it....but I wonder? I bet it got wet from the sprinklers or something
