mars_hall Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Klause Sometimes the factory stock pups are identified inside the control cavity cover. Have you removed that yet? If I'm not missing something, and I could be while speedreading, there is a picture of the label on the previous page.
H Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 If I'm not missing something, and I could be while speedreading, there is a picture of the label on the previous page. True, and it seems to contain just the model and, presumably, serial number from the limited view afforded. Additionally, I believe someone earlier identified the pickups as Carvin items.
DetroitBlues Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I'd have to agree they are Carvin pups with a really nice cover.
Klaus Posted August 31, 2011 Author Posted August 31, 2011 Thank you for your answers. I haven't removed the control cavity cover yet - and I also don't dare to. But what makes you think, they are Carvin PUs? Is there a related thread? Klaus

Is there a related thread? Klaus Hi Klaus, look at the post in this thread from GitFiddler dated 27 Dec 2010. That's where the Carvin information comes from. Your guitar hasn't got a control cavity cover. The pots, etc, are loaded through the pickup routes or the f-holes. Solid body Heritages have a plastic plate at the rear to allow access to the pots, etc. This plate has a sticker on it showing the model details and serial number. Your sticker is visible inside the f-hole on the bass bout. Sometimes this contains pickup information. Oh, and a belated welcome to the HOC from another European member
High Flying Bird Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Welcome aboard Klaus. Nice looking guitar.
