sick1982 Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Hi all! I'm looking for a new screw that holds the pickguard bracket in the body, because it is a bit scratchy and about to loose all screwdriver grip. Someone knows which size it is and/or where to get one (in Europe)? I'm not very eager to get it out and waiting for a replacement to arrive :-) Thanks for any tips! Kind regards.
FrankV Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 don't fret, a screw is a screw, you don't need a special one. If the hole is stripped, and the screw won't 'bite', take a small piece of toothpick, put a little glue on it, stick it in the hole, and then your screw will have something to grip. Just a tiny piece of wood, dabbed with a bit of glue, problem solved.

But I actually meant the 'carve' where you put the screwdriver in is worn out, not the hole where the screw goes in I was looking for the diameter (including thread) and length of the screw, so I can find a good replacement before attempting to get the current sucker out Knowing the stores near my location, they will likely have everything except what I really need and want it to be
sick1982 Posted December 27, 2010 Author Posted December 27, 2010 I removed it (clearly for the last time) and thought sharing in case anyone ever would want to replace one too: - Thread length: 10mm - Thread diameter: 2mm - Head length: 2mm - Head diameter: 4mm - Head type: mushroom
