FReady Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Hi guys, I own a Heritage H-140 from '92. I have it for years. I guess may be for 15 years. I was cleaning up my stuff and I found the exact specification, but I don't know what that means. Can someone help me with that? The full Model-Name is H-140CM WTC. Thanks for help. Cheers, Fred
mars_hall Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 The CM is curly maple, referring to the top. The WTC is probably the finish but not one used often. Is the guitar some variant of wine transparent cherry? That is a poor guess. A pic would help
FReady Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 Thanks for your help. Here are the pics...
SouthpawGuy Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Thanks for your help. Here are the pics... That looks like VSB, Vintage Sun Burst, to me. On a side note what pickups are they and did it come from the factory like that ? It's just that I don't think I've seen that type of pu cover before.
tbonesullivan Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 dangit why can't I ever view the attached pictures after clicking the thumbnails. anyway, WTC? Might have to check with heritage to see what color that is.

It's just that I don't think I've seen that type of pu cover before. I bought the guitar like this from a licensed shop. So I came like that. Any way the sound is great and feeling to play it also. I would never change anything. I planing to buy a semi-hollow or a hollow body heritage...
mars_hall Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I would agree with the VSB. What does it say on the control cavity label?
FReady Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 I would agree with the VSB. What does it say on the control cavity label? I don't know what label you mean. Where can I find it??
Halowords Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 dangit why can't I ever view the attached pictures after clicking the thumbnails. Maybe a stupid question, but have you tried scrolling all the way up a/o down the page? Sometimes I've noticed the thumbnail will migrate and open up somewhere you might not expect (or at least not where I'm actually looking at). anyway, WTC? Might have to check with heritage to see what color that is. Wide Tooth Comb? Sorry, I just had a Space Balls flashback. I wonder if it might be some funky handwriting or something. I'd be interested to see the where it was written if it looks like they could have written/intended something else. It certainly looks nice though.
SouthpawGuy Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I don't know what label you mean. Where can I find it?? It's usually on the inside of the control cavity cover ... sometimes the writing can be a bit cryptic .... The above example is of a 157 Classic, in Old Style Burst(OSB), serial #V09003, fitted with Duncan 59s'.

The Type I have is "H-140CM Alm SB (Almond Sun Burst!?) U-Tronic" That is what it says on the sticker. Thanks for the help any way.
tbonesullivan Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Whoa.. I guess those "u-tronic" pickups are stock. Never heard of them. How do they sound?
FReady Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 Whoa.. I guess those "u-tronic" pickups are stock. Never heard of them. How do they sound? They sound warm and fat. I love that thing!
