Fernando Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I have not posted them before because as a photographer, I am a good musician: anyway, I hope you enjoy. http://s1099.photobucket.com/albums/g393/FernDudeman/
FredZepp Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Nice Group of Guitars there... You seem to have a special appreciation for Heritage guitars from Kalamazoo...!!
NoNameBand Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Nice feet. Beautiful guitars, great collection.
Halowords Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Nice guitar collection. Nice descriptions to boot! So how different are your 555's? Just curious if it's just the coil splitting, or if there are different neck woods, pickups, or just the nice variety of finishes. You can never have too many guitars with Super Powers though. Regardless, thanks for sharing!
Fernando Posted January 5, 2011 Author Posted January 5, 2011 Thanks! I added some words to each picture, to give you a sense of what they usually do. I am the only obstacle between those beautiful instruments and, well...music. But I am doing the best that I can, and I've to admit, it's getting better. A little better, all the time.

Just curious if it's just the coil splitting, or if there are different neck woods, pickups, or just the nice variety of finishes. You can never have too many guitars with Super Powers though. Regardless, thanks for sharing! I need to learn so much about technical aspects of guitars. I confess that, although I am aware that there are different types of pickups, and that I know some names, brands, etc, admit I have no idea what pickups my guitars have and I don't open them up to look. Still, I am happy with the sound my guitars have, and I don't normally modify instruments or gear. I do send my guitars to a very good professional and he sets them up really, really well. Also, since I am in confession mode, here's one more: I pay close attention to what everyone here says about mid range sounds and highs and lows. I hope I can learn all of that stuff, because my descriptions about sound are probably very poor. It feels kinda like discussions about wine, when I hear a lot of fascinating descriptions, when I can say is either "I like it", or "I don't like it." I know what I like in terms of tone, and I believe I have a pretty good ear, including tonal perception, sense of music, I just may not be very good putting words to them. Anyway, the difference between the two 555 is mainly in tone, because of the different electronics. I need to remember (or learn, if I don't know it yet) which types of wood were used and other specifics.
zookroo1 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Dang, you've got some nice guitars there! The dual 555's are a great combo!
chico Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Knowledge is the realization of one's own ignorance. You are a knowledgeable person. And, learning. That's good! We learn from you too. Nice axes, keep on playin em. I took a second look at the little boy, and like the H157 in black too. Well, shucks, I like em all if you want to know the truth..
