Gitfiddler Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 OK, this is just for fun...and to get a few of you (us) oldies and newbies to post their 2 dream Heritages. Price is no object. Design is only limited to what Heritage would likely build. So now you've won the Lottery, and money is no object. Which 2 Heritages would you select? :bye_mini:
NoNameBand Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 As I'm sure everybody knows by now a VSB 150 and probably a 137 w/P-90s. I already have the best 535 One could ever hope for.
Guest HRB853370 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Git, you must be home today! I want my translucent red 535 with SL pups. The other one, I think I want a 357 like Kuz's
bolero Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I'd probably get a 575 in an oldstyle sunburst, and one of those kahuna models, if they still make them, they were cool
fxdx99 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Not that I've thought of this before, but... ahem... Guitar One - Bird's 357, one JUST like it Guitar Two - the 'HOC127'... 127-like body and headstock 25 1/2" scale Body - prefer ash, but mahogany Heritage stock might be used. Top f-hole like tele thinline Neck - maple w/rosewood. "HOC" inlay at 12th fret Through body string feed, brass '3-tree' tele-like bridge Lollar P90 neck w/white cover, tele like bridge pickup Volume, Tone1, Tone2 (one for each pickup), 3-way switch controls (in that order with volume in 'strat-like' position) Rim plug 7 to 8 lb weight target Finish - Antique Cherry Burst Guitar Three (did win big, right?) Golden Eagle, but... Electronics like Eagle Custom (dual Humbuckers) Throbak pickups Finish - OSB Matching pickguard
smurph1 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Wow..Hmmm..Lemmee think..Yeah I'm from West virginia..Maybe a nice Prospect VSB with some low output buckers..(Not sure what brand..) And... A goldtop Version 1 H-140 with Tone Pros hardware and Schaller pickups..(Just like my old 140) Nickel hardware..yeah..That's the Ticket!!
brentrocks Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 1. A monster top H 157 in sunset burst with soapbar p-90s and abalone blocks 2. A super flamed H 525 in VSB, abalone blocks, bound/inlaid headstock
tulk1 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I'll take one of Randy's H127s. Maybe two, so one can have a B-Bender installed. Then a Heritage Mandolin, H50 (F-Style), OSB, 1/2 inch nut w/bridge width to match, radiused ebony board, tulip tuners, creme' binding and a built-in pickup system.
peteraltongreen Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 O.K., Top of the list is a Honey Blonde Sweet 16.I probably don't need to win the lottery for that,at some point it will happen. Guitar 2 may well be the same again,as a non cut,non electric.I think Jay Wolfe commissioned one,and I was bowled over.I nearly jumped on a jet to Florida, just to play it.If that's not on,then it's a Groove Master ! Yes please. There we are.I'll need to win the lottery,'cos that's three !! Peter Alton Green.
H Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 1) Black 530 with TV Jones pickups. Ebony board with thumbnail fret markers. All nickel hardware. Cream binding including the headstock. MOP logo. 2) H-110 in OSB with three PRS narrowfield humbuckers. I don't know why but I'm strangely drawn to this model...
pegleg32 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 gold top with p-90s, old style light gold, cream binding. 530 with p-90s, probably a tobacco burst.
Steiner Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Your 157, Big bob's 170, De Boid's 357. All are currently absent and waiting to join the fold.
big bob Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 My choices were picked because I know I could never have them. If it was anything, a rhythm eagle natural, and the Popsicle back
Spectrum13 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Cross between a tap tuned Golden Eagle and a Henry Johnson Blond top and one humbucker. Either a black 157 eagle with a staple and P90 and a wraptail or a Sweet 16 with a Charlie Christian, rosewood fingerboard 24.75 scale.
SouthpawGuy Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 As I'm sure everybody knows by now a VSB 150 and probably a 137 w/P-90s. I already have the best 535 One could ever hope for. I think you are mistaken. I've got that one. So there.
yoslate Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Black 157 with P-90's and creme binding TV yellow 137, single p'up, bound neck and headstock, tulip tuners, tortoise shell pick guard, and a Bigsby
mars_hall Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Kenny has very good taste... 1) I would take a NFH Millie exactly like his with the exception that it would be completely solid-body, heavy as possible, and be multi-ply bound like a Super or Eagle including the pointed neck tip. I need a detailed inlay in the headstock like a rose or eagle. Imperial tuners, Ebony board, and 4-wire Seth's wired Jimmy Page style for sh*ts and grins. Black transparent pickguards multi-ply bound. Switchcraft output jack mounted old-style (not plate mounted). Gibson TP-6 tailpiece. 2) An H157 exactly like the one he bought from Doug of Doug's Tubes and sold to cosmicdebriis with the exception of having the same set of appointments listed above. Yes, I believe that should do it

602a Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Korina 357 no stripes in the finish with Duncan Antiquity pups and Bigsby. #2 is a Black with Gold Hardware 157 with Rosewood neck weighing 10.5 lbs with Bigsby.
peteraltongreen Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Wow,Thanks Big Bob. Where is it ? I'm on my way,What a beaut. Peter Alton Green

Yes, I believe that should do it Aw, geee, Mark!! Quick FYI, the NFH does have multi-binding. Not sure if it's Super/Eagle multi- tho. And it was supposed to have the pointy fretboard. Guess we both! have good taste. And oh, yeah. That H150 was probably the most gorgeous Heritage I've ever owned. Surprised you remember where I got it! And Mr. Lance!! One like your pretty baby is on my want list, too. Just something about that thing that just gets me all ........ we excited.
tbonesullivan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 This is a tough question, as I already have two heritages that were "dream guitars". I guess I'd probably get a H150 with Mini Humbuckers, and a Jazz Box of some kind.
chico Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 A H535 in natural, with Seth Lovers and a H150CM, SD's and in VSB or ALSB, creme binding
