Guest HRB853370 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Took the ASB 555 out of the case today, and I realized that if I had to keep just one guitar, this would be it! The HRW's in it just sing, and I really think this guitar out-sustains any of my other guitars. One thing that struck me as being kind of odd however, is I have a difficult time fretting barre chords at the 10th fret and higher. It almost seems like the fretboard has a narrower radius than my H 150's, and my fingers feel squeezed. Does anybody else have this problem? Perhaps it is just my poor technique!
tulk1 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Not sure Heritage does a compound radius. Maybe on custom orders. But I wouldn't think as a stock item. The fret spacing certainly narrows there. Perhaps you have maws for hands ...........
Kuz Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Sorry, no problems here. With a great set-up it should be EASIER to bar chords farther up the neck. And with Heritages' standard 12" radius, you don't get much flatter than that. I would get a good set-up but someone who can really lower the action without buzzing.

Like I said, bad technique!!!
Genericmusic Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Technique may be an issue. Thumb placement on the back of the neck? Elbow position, out away from your body?
