cosmikdebriis Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Just a quick thank you to Tulk1 for the 150 which turned up safe and sound today. Very well packed, no problems at all. big thanks to him... Another HOC deal goes well Oh... and the guitar... No point in posting pics as this particular one has appeared several times in various threads ;D I think even Henry Gibbon was seen playing it It's become my firm favourite, partly due to the colour/finish as the OSB was always my favourite. But also because of the SD 59's which I really like. I'm a happy man indeed... 8) Cheers again Tulk... :-*
Dick Seacup Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 For some reason, I'm starting to think my collection is paltry and I should be buying more guitars.
tulk1 Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Dave, So glad it arrived safe and sound. I was sweating that one, simply because of the vast amount of ocean between here and there. Made it right thru Customs, too. That was cool. Glad you weren't disappointed. Now, you just need to remember it's a 157! ;D
cosmikdebriis Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 Now, you just need to remember it's a 157! ;D Ah... Perhaps that explains all that stripy stuff round the edges and the shiny writing on the headstock... I was wondering what that was all about... :-[ ;D
SouthpawGuy Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Now, you just need to remember it's a 157! ;D Cosmik you are clearly suffering from Heritage overkill, aka dementia ;D Poor soul you don't even know which one you happen to have acquired lately. Is it six or seven you have now ? Do you even know how many ? ;D I see from one of your previous posts that you are in the "denial" stage with your better half, i.e. hiding them I would like to propose a solution to that particular "problem". Just make sure that they are all the same colour, it works for me ! That way you can happily produce any Heritage at any time and no comment will be passed. from a fellow sufferer of GAS sincerely Southpaw ;D

That way you can happily produce any Heritage at any time and no comment will be passed. In my case the Heritage problem is just the tip of the Iceberg (6 now, with one, hopefully on its way). I probably own 50 guitars Though I'd really need to count to be certain. Including... In no particular order... (Electric)... Three Strats, two Jap, one Mex. (sold my USA one) About ten Yamaha SG range including Sg2000 and three SG 1000 Two Patrick Eggle Two Minarik guitars Countless Greco Les Pauls Ibanez Musician Vantage Lp (I seem to recall someone posting a pic of the headstock as similar to an H). Epiphine SG... Euughh ! Eko M44 Weird kinda super Strat, looks like an Ibanez Blazer with piezo in the bridge. (possibly a prototype, only one I've ever seen). Yamaha SF1000 two or three Yamaha studio Lords (LP) Greco Firebird Bass (really nice bass) Greco (Gibbon 330) Greco (Gibbon ES 175) Yamaha SA-5 (Kinda 330 ish) Greco MR 3000 (Pre Ibanez Artist) Greco GoII 750 (thru neck super Strat) And some I just can't remember... I do buy and sell a bit... Well that's my excuse... Now I just need to learn to play ;D
cosmikdebriis Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 With one hopefully on the way!!?? - What now? 357... Firebird... 8) It's just occurred to me... Don't you just hate this whole 150... 157... 357 etc... thing. What's the matter with proper names >

Any how that ends todays confessions of a guitar junkie. 8)
cosmikdebriis Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 What I find interesting here is that... On the face of it... and being completely stereotypical and perhaps even racist... You'd have expected the Americans to have owned all the guitars ;D Only joking guys.... ;D ;D ;D
tulk1 Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Americans, on the whole, are a very generous breed. Look at all the countries we bankroll. So, it shouldn't be too big of a surprise that we have left a few of the finer pieces of gear for those in that other country. (there's only one other country, right?) ;D
