dharv53 Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Hi everyone, I received my first Heritage about a week ago and I've posted a photo. It's a piece of art and, although I can't play (I'm a newbie/beginner trying hard, in my old age, to learn), it's sure pretty to look at. http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l523/dharv53/1997%20Heritage%20H535%20Best%20Pics/HeritageH535WithCaseAmpCroppedSharp640x450.jpg It's a 1997 535 Autumnburst with Golden 50's. Thanks once again to all of you for your counsel and encouragement. If there's a PSP in 2011, I hope to attend and meet you all. Dave
schundog Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Dave, That PHOTO is a work of art! Did you take it? If so, yowza! Anyway, I'm glad you got a 535, you WON'T be sorry! They are fantastic guitars, and it should serve you well. I hope you can make it to PSPIV.

At one time, I was a fairly serious amateur nature photographer. When I became interested in playing the guitar, I sold most of my camera gear to buy guitars and a good amp. Is there a date yet for PSPIV? Regards,
FredZepp Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Great pic of a great guitar there, Dave. We can relate to your enthusiasm, as we all feel the same. No date for PSP IV yet, but stay tuned... hope to see you there.
brentrocks Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Very nice dave!!! PSP 4 is looking like Friday August 5th...this has not been approved by Vince yet though

Dave By the way, since I only have one Heritage, I thought I'd flaunt it with a picture of her backside as well. http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l523/dharv53/IMG_2391.jpg

I hope I can attend the PSP. I was afraid it would be early August. If the local youth hockey tryouts are that weekend, it'll be tough.
kbp810 Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Great looking guitar, and great looking photography!
Hfan Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Hi Dave, Welcome to the club and your first Heritage is a beauty, congratulations. Are you familiar with the roller bridge? I was surprised when I changed strings first time on my 157, a few of the rollers moved on their own. Looking at yours, I feel the need to get my 535 out of the case tonight.
Guest HRB853370 Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Very nice dave!!! PSP 4 is looking like Friday August 5th...this has not been approved by Vince yet though Cool Brent, I made my hotel reservation at the Hampton in Kzoo a couple months ago in anticipation of that date!! Hope it does not change. The snow should be gone too!

Hfan Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I also meant to add I love that finish, never saw an Autumnburst before, with the gold hardware and knobs it has a great vibe.
jmac Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Hi Dave! Beautiful guitar and photograph. Playing guitar is so rewarding. I hope you enjoy the journey of learning. Welcome to HOC

Thanks much for your comments! I'm not at all familiar with the roller bridge. However, my instructor is and he's going to change the strings for me. I'll be watching closely. Regards,

That photo is good enough to get you in the club even if the guitar isn't yours. Great guitar and photo. I'm sure there will be a PSPIV this year and we all look forward to meeting you.
chico Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Welcome, and beautiful Heritage you have there. You will be glad your guitar playing began on a fine instrument, such as a Heritage. Makes learning even more fun. Have you played at all, total beginner, or have a few basics down, like some chord shapes, etc.? Do you play any other musical instruments? Good luck, and keep us posted on your progress. chico
Bulldog Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 What a great photo, it's hard to capture wood grain. I'm certain this guitar will become a life long friend. As far as PSP, wish I could attend but will be on my Harley heading for Sturgis SD. This is truly a great bunch to know.
koula901 Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Great looking guitar, and great looking photography! that goes double, and Hey! you didn't do too badly getting a Heritage for your first! showing good judgment, there!
