I got A He@# of a deal on my 535..
NoNameBand Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 When I originally tried to spec out a special order VSB 150CM, the local dealer here in Cincinnati quoted me $2,800.00. Not much of a deal when you look at those prices. That was for a stock 150 already finished and changing the pups. I have a request for a price from Jimmy's guitars at the suggestion of MG. I'm hoping for a better quote than the first one.
DeLorean Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 I found this old post from August, 2008 with the current prices then. I was surprised at how well Heritage has held it MSRP down for several years. One thing to remember, the case isn't included in that price (see the back page, cases are an additional $200 (except the 18 inch archtops, which are more...)). Once I've got my collection built up a bit more, they should raise the prices. ;-}
H Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Would a 530 be in similar price territory to a 535?
MartyGrass Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 Would a 530 be in similar price territory to a 535? The same as I recall.
eljay Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 The same as I recall. not so. h530 is a couple of Cs higher.
FredZepp Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Jan. 2010 price list .. Both H-530 and H-535 are list of $ 2,970 (but in either case, add-on options like a wood upgrade etc. will increase the list)
eljay Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 ^ ^ ^ well . . . i been wrong before! i recall my dealer telling me that 530 is more costly than 535 . . . maybe i jes' a suckah . . .
MartyGrass Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 I remember looking at the 2010 price list and noticing the parity in price (a little aliteration) but no PG with the 530 and only one coil per pup! How can that be fair? The nice thing about the 530 compared to the 330 is the full upper fret access.
NoNameBand Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 ^ ^ ^ well . . . i been wrong before! i recall my dealer telling me that 530 is more costly than 535 . . . maybe i jes' a suckah . . . Probably because you wanted a 530, they were more expensive. Had you wanted the 535, it would have been more expensive. It's all about your choices.
smurph1 Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 why would a guitar with less wood in it, (530) be more expensive than a guitar with more wood..(535)..Just kidding..LOL..(I know, Carved top vs Laminated..) Just joking around..It's monday I need something to laugh about..
