sbtills Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Just thought I would post my son's new Youtube video, showing off our 157's. The guitars come in about 1 minute in. Hope you like it! http://www.youtube.com/user/SilverburstOne
MartyGrass Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Very, very nice. I see you make him carry that heavy Bigsby! I wish my dad got me a H157. Well, they were LP Customs then.
sbtills Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 Very, very nice. I see you make him carry that heavy Bigsby! I wish my dad got me a H157. Well, they were LP Customs then. Thanks. The Guitar is like 11 pounds before the Bigsby was added, which was all his doing. No new holes were drilled, and it can be returned to stock very quickly. He loves it.
mars_hall Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Looks like fun. What were you using for the amps and recording?
kbp810 Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Great playing, great metal/rock tone, and great guitars!
Schwantz Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Wow !! Great video, Congratulation, and you have 2 superb Heritage, so clean and shiny. Very nice !
FredZepp Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Great video, nice editing and great sound and everything... Both great guitars but that Silverburst looks very cool with the Bigsby.
bolero Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 nice!! great song too, never heard it before but sounds like an epic instrumental
sbtills Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 Looks like fun. What were you using for the amps and recording? We both used my son's Marshall DFX250 amp to match the tone, a straight-to-mp3 Alesis ipod recorder, and Power Director 9 for the video editing.
schundog Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Impressive tone and harmonization. Very cool that you both appreciate Metallica and Heritage Guitars. But even more cool is the fact that you and your son could do this togeher.
stringfever Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Nice job guys, but you gotta get better at swinging your hair around and snarling! Dave
sbtills Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 Nice job guys, but you gotta get better at swinging your hair around and snarling! Dave We'll work on that! Thanks for the comments. We really have a great time playing together, and making the video helps him see and hear himself play, and hopefully helps him improve. And, I enjoy being the rhythm guitarist in the family.
zookroo1 Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Nice work guys! Great stuff and a couple great looks guitars!
