No. It was molded in that color to look somewhat aged. That's what they're doing on the R9s too.

Well, I've seen worse!

 

Very, very nice.

 

It's amazing to reflect on the process just to get the wood for a top like that.

 

Ya see . . . here's the thing Mark, these guys knew, when they were making this guitar in 2005, that I would probably buy it used in 2010. Realizing that, and knowing what a major league PIA I am, they took extra care to do it just right ;)

Our Lords and Masters at Parsons Street never cease to amaze me. What a beautiful thing they can make from an old bit of tree.
