Gitfiddler Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 This followed me home. I think I'll keep it. (2004 N.O.S. Millenium 155, Almond Sunburst, w/Seths)
koula901 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Now Gitfiddler, send that back to Koula's Pet Pound, imeediately! ; ) Seriously, that's one good looking Millie! The gold hardware goes real well on almond sunburst.
FredZepp Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Man, I could see that one being hard to put down for anything else . It looks beautiful and with the Millie construction , including Seths, I imagine this to be a sweet Heritage to play. Lively, open, rockin, jazzy... it would work for about any style.
Kuz Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Great catch there 'fiddler!!!! Don't you hate it when they just follow you home? I am working on a little something myself. I'll keep you posted if it follows me home. Now go spank that baby!
schundog Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Sweet! I was hoping I'd see this NGD soon. You'll love those Seths. Enjoy her!
Steiner Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Man, all I got was a dog... I say we have the next PSP on the left coast!
yoslate Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Jeeze, Tim! You've read my mind! For the past four or five days, I've been spending way too much time thinking about Kenny's Millie at PSPII, and what a gorgeous voice it had...one of the best guitars I've heard. And I was thinking...maybe I oughta.... And here you are, with this! I want a comprehensive tone report, man!
MartyGrass Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 You dog! I was eyeballing that one for about a week on gbase. The day I was going to call I saw a sold sign on it. That's sweet. I don't know why they don't make more Millies.
High Flying Bird Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Another very gorgeous finish on one of your guitars. You may very well have the nicest harem in the HOC.
chico Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 sweet. a true beauty. you will love it plugged in too.
Gitfiddler Posted February 5, 2011 Author Posted February 5, 2011 Thanks, but Heritage did all of the work on this one. The tones from Seths in the Millie's tone-chambered body is sweet to the 10th power! I haven't had a chance to really open her up, but even at low volumes this is one sweet gitfiddle. I was working a trade deal with the seller for aboutt a week. I had to out of town, but he responded quickly and the deal was done. Schundog and Millenium Maestro gave their blessings in advance of this purchase. Thank you, gentlemen!! Here she is playing nice with her new solid body cousings...
Steiner Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Git(on your bad motor scooter and ride)fiddler - You're killing me! Wow
Spectrum13 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Tim, Pretty soon your wish list will get down to zip. Can't imagine you getting on Gbase for a while now. But you will surprise us with something, right?
Heritage525 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I want this guitar! If you want to sell . . . let me know! That is a beauty, congrats!
Guest HRB853370 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I want this guitar! If you want to sell . . . let me know! That is a beauty, congrats! I wanted an Almond Burst 535 too.....
Millennium Maestro Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Glad you like her, she looks really nice all cleaned up! So how was the neck profile for you!!!???
Gitfiddler Posted February 5, 2011 Author Posted February 5, 2011 Glad you like her, she looks really nice all cleaned up! So how was the neck profile for you!!!??? It took over 30 minutes (of Virtuosso) to clean and polish off 7 years of shop wear and surface scratches, but she did clean up nicely. I think the shop used rough cloths to wipe it down. (Idiots!) The set-up and intonation is perfect. Fortunately, the boys at Heritage did a perfect job on this one, and all it took was detailing to bring her back alive. The neck profile is standard for Heritage...not too slim...not too chunky. It is less girth than my personal preference, but very nice all the way up the neck. If I were to ever custom order one of these it would have a fat neck and other cool stuff, but man, this is a wonderful player all around.
bolero Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 wow!!! really nice!! I agree, seths go well in these
