sfss Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I have been trying to get a quote on a new guitar ( Super Eagle) from a dealer and he is having trouble hearing back from them on the prices ect. Should I be afraid to order a guitar if they do get back to him with the quote on the price? I would want the guys that have been building guitars for years there to build mine not a new guy. I am comming there because I want a good outfit. When something is still kinda handmade its takes experience and skill and that takes time to learn working under someone else. Whats the deal, does anyone know whats going on? I do know they had some trouble money wise before.. Just kind of wondering what to do. Thanks for any insight.

Mikenov Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I don't know where you are from but here in the midwest we were absolutely nailed by a blizzard. My company was closed for the first time EVER for a day and a half. There was a driving ban in my county. My guess is nothing got done this week at allot of midwest companies. FYI not sure if this is pertinent to your issue or not but it might be.
FredZepp Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 it's been a tough week in a lot of places. Don't let this concern you at all. I had a shipment of mattresses arrive two days late for the first time ever... Just make sure that your dealer is following up on your order... Oh ... and BTW... there really aren't any new people there. It's a very small operation and all have been there for quite a while , there are no newbies.
High Flying Bird Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 it's been a tough week in a lot of places. Don't let this concern you at all. They have been hit harder than usual for that part of the country. When I ordered my 357/Firebird I told Marv that I could wait until it was done to his liking so he could take his time. Let me tell you it was worth every minute of the wait.
mjtripper Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I live in the Kalamazoo area and we got hit really hard with the storms. The hospitals when into disaster mode, schools have been closed for a couple days, the whole thing. It's a mess, where I live it took two days to get the plows here. I don't know about Heritage but there were a lot of businesses and retail stores that just closed up until it got cleaned up. I'm not saying it's the reason, just that it could be one factor.
Connor Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Wow, That is a beautiful Firebird! I was playing my 550 last night and kept getting distracted from playing while I stopped to admire the guitar one more time. I think owning these guitars is a sickness, and once you are stricken, there is no going back.

I can't buy them all, and I always thought of myself more in the explorer camp..... but Ron your Firebird.... well let's just say "gives me a rise" whenever I see it!!!!!!!!!!!
