glaister Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Just come across a listing on Ebay UK for what purports to be Gary Moore`s Heritage!!! £5K start. Just a tad unpleasant and showing little respect imho!!!!!
SouthpawGuy Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 here : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gary-Moores-Guitar-Heritage-Cherry-Sunburst-/230584708243?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item35afeb6c93
tulk1 Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Hmmm, interesting that it has what appears to be uncovered Schaller pickups in it, too. Could that be correct? Thought the siggy had EMGs. Not only a bit disrespectful, but a bit suspect .... imo.
brentrocks Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 thats not a real GM Heritage...wrong color, wrong pups, no sig on headstock

GuitArtMan Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 The auction doesn't say it's a Gary Moore signature Heritage - it say's it was a Gary Moore owned Heritage. Supposedly it was Gary's guitars. Read the auction people. Of course, I'd want proof before I bid (not that I'm gonna bid). Either way you look at it, crass.
SouthpawGuy Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 A quick Google search reveals that Gary Moore owned three 150s and a 140 at one point. This may be one of them or it might just have been signed by him for a charity auction. Either way the listing leaves a bad taste.
FredZepp Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 It's obviously not a GM signature 150. Perhaps this one pre-dates those anyhow. But that doesn't mean that the claim of the seller is untrue... "Owned and used by Gary and in original roadie's case marked 'Heritage Cherry S/B E17202' (Serial number.) This item was bought at an auction put on by one of Gary's Doctors who asked him to provide a guitar to raise some serious money for his Cancer charity. Signed 'Gary Moore' on the scratch plate, 'Gary Moore' plate screwed to head (See pics) mongrammed plectrums in case with pitch finder for tuning and spare strings." Hopefully he has some evidence that this was owned/played by Gary. Otherwise , it is just a nice signed 150 .. with a Gibby cut.
dbetts41 Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Interesting guitar though... block inlays on a rosewood board
