valriver40 Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 hi there, new member here. i have a heritage 550. has anyone changed the roller bridge to a tune-o-matic archtop one with a rosewood bridge?
mark555 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I have not changed to the specific bridge you mention, but aesthetically I do not like the roller bridge, it is really for use with a bigsby. I changed the roller bridge out of my own 555 has a more traditional style bridge which on a personal level I feel is far more in keeping with the guitars. Looking at your beautiful guitar, I am sure that what you are wanting to do will look just right. I think the guys at the factory build incredible guitars, but I am not a fan of some of the hardware they have put on them. Others here will disagree, but we all make these guitars to suit our individual needs and preferences. A big welcome to you, I hope you enjoy our community and join in with our discussions. There are some really nice people here and it's a good place to hang out.

valriver40 Posted February 16, 2011 Author Posted February 16, 2011 in reading past posts a nashville tune-o-matic bridge should be a dropin with not using the rosewood base.
H Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 In that case, take a look at the locking bridges from TonePros. You'll like them
