Hi folks,

I'd really ben missing my old H-535 lately that I sold 8-9 years back, so you can probably tell where this story is heading.

So I just saw a really pretty vintage cherry 25th anniversary H-535 on the Wolfe Guitars site and talked to them about it a little. After getting off the phone I really tried to resist temptation and think it thru a bit. I made it maybe 5 minutes. Anyhow, it should be here in a couple of days.

I'm pretty stoked to be getting back into a 535.

Thanks all.

Cool! Did you talk to Jay or Graham?

I talked to Graham-very nice and helpful fellow.

Say, in an unrelated matter, I'm finding the site here excrutiatingly slow-I'm talking dial up slow or worse.

Wonder if I'm doing something wrong? I'm using a Mac...

Great for you! Welcome! It is slow here too and I have Windows at the Office and Mac at home... Make sure to post pics when you get your baby!

Thanks for the welcomes folks, and I will post a pic or two soon as I can.

Just looking at the pics online the color reminds me of a very limited production special run Les Paul Standard I bought back in the early-mid '90's. It had a 3-pc curly maple top and they built a very few of them in Trans Red and also Honey, both with gold hardware. The dealer I bought it from said the factory used it to reward a handful of dealers who paid their accounts on time, and he sold it to me for the same price as a regular Standard.

Anyway it was pretty and this 535 looks to be even prettier.

Welcome Donnie. If you bought an H535 25th Annie from Jay Wolfe . . . then, we're all pretty sure it's absolutely beautiful. Jay gets the primo stuff!!

Yeah, I got the impression from Graham that he's real picky about which pieces he accepts and gets away with it by moving lots of merchandise. Now this could be a bit of sales hype (although he sounded very credible to my cynical old ears) but he told me that this one had two things that were Wolfe exclusives, namely the custom "Vintage slightly faded cherry" color and the 5 layer nitro as opposed to the standard 7 layers. The latter would obviously accelerate normal nitro aging, which would appeal to me.

BTW I found it surprising how hard it was to get accurate information about Heritage guitars in general, especially the Heritage website. Anyway, as long as the build quality is on a par with my old '98-'99 or whatever it was, I'll be happy.

Welcome.... I received my 25th anniversary 535 from Jay Wolfe a couple months ago. You won't be disappointed, the faded cherry is out of this world. Glad to have you on board.

Hi Donnie, looks like it's more 'welcome back' than 'welcome' ;) Glad to see that you, like most of us here, can't hold out against the Heritage! :)

Welcome back to Heritage, and welcome to the HOC! Congratulations on the new guitar, but as you already know, 535's are the shiznit!
