Kuz Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Beautiful guitar, just beautiful! Of course everyone has to comment, so mine is black speed dial knobs.
donnie Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 Great story Donnie. But I would never speak to that "best friend" again, especially since he KNEW you wanted that guitar!!! So what 535 did you have 8 or 9 years ago and what finish and what happened to it? Keep the story going... Well, I guess he wouda sold it to me if I had the 27 large...It was just one of those unformalized mutual agreements. I had a couple of things he wanted and we just sorta agreed. It did sting a little but he needed the money desperately, so I'm trying to get over it. Going from memory I'm almost positive my previous one was a '98, and unless I miss my guess it was Almond Sunburst. It was a beautiful guitar and played well but had just the faintest hint of a smoke odor I couldn't get out. I wish I'd tried harder...

Bulldog Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 donnie, thanks for the feedback from Graham - I'll keep working it. We have similar tastes, I have an AST as well. Great combo.... The 535 does rock.
